Vinalink Media Agency is a company offering online services, such as marketing, social media marketing, SEO services,
web design, as well as brand publicity and digital branding. It was established in 1999, with an organisation structure
consisted of two main departments: business department and operational department. The operational department
had three smaller teams: creative team, technical team and booking team.
4. INTERNSHIP DETAILS
Project description: Create a media plan for Vinalink’s SEO services.
I have been given a project of creating a media plan by the director of the Vinalink Media Agency. The media plan aims
to promote for the company’s SEO services, including: on-page SEO, outsourced SEO department as well as SEO
advisory services. The target audience will be business owners who have A1 or A2 class income, from 30 to 45 years
old, living in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh city. As business owner, they have a basic understanding about SEO and how it
can affect businesses. There are some steps required in order to complete a media plan:
Since the project assigned is for Vinalink agency – the company that I am currently working in, the research phase for
this media plan can be done easily. The information about the company: its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and
threats they are facing in the market can be collected through my director and supervisors at Vinalink. On the other
hand, I will need to analyse further to get a deeper understanding of the target customers for SEO services: their
thoughts, attitudes as well as their behaviors. Coming up with ideas and content for the media plan is also a problem
because it requires skills, such as problem solving, writing, designing, together with communication skill. Overall, this
IMC plan gives me a chance to learn more about how marketers work in a real business environment.

Being a Digital Marketing student at Swinburne University, mastering content writing skill is extremely important.
Before starting my internship at Vinalink Media Agency, I was a member of the Media department in Chef’S Choice –
Swinburne Cooking Club, and have written some posts related to cuisine for the club’s Facebook page. However,
working at Vinalink, I realized that it is essential to develop a broader understanding about other field to further
develop my content writing skill.
- Write one post per week sharing my new experience in the workplace and post them on social media
platforms.
- Come up with interesting content idea and write one Facebook post each two weeks for Chef’S Choice -
Swinburne Cooking Club
- Seek feedback from Chef’S Choice club members and my supervisor at Vinalink
Having an understanding of how to design banners, or images for social media posts can help me to develop further as
a content creator in the future. I have create graphic designs for my assignments before, but I still want to improve
Internship objectives #3: Learning to analyse data and improving marketing research skill
I have always interested in data analysing although it is a difficult skill to learn. I have taken the Marketing Analysis
course of Swinburne University last semester, but I did not have a chance to apply what I learn in real life business
cases. This Internship brings me an opportunity to relearn the theories that I have forgotten and practice analysis tool.
