Data Procedure
The necessary procedure in performing the study and gathering data are the following:
Write a letter to a Validators. The researcher will write a letter to the validators requesting to
check the research questions that would be use towards the data gathering of the said study.
Data Gathering. The researcher will discuss to the participants the importance of their
response to the study. The researcher clarifies some instructions to the participants so they
can answer the questionnaire with full knowledge of their responsibility as the subject of the
study.
Compilation of final data. After learning such outcome, the researchers will then notify
research adviser. The researchers’ completed the final data collection through survey utilizing
the validated survey guide questionnaires.
Data Interpretation. After the participants answered the questionnaire, the researcher
collected and tallied the data for interpretation. Based on the data, the researcher comes up
with a conclusion and recommendation for this study.
Ethical Considerations
First, the participants' confidentiality will be protected by the disclosure of any and all
data and information obtained during the course of the study, including both the results and
the responses.
Third, the beneficence of the participants is addressed during the introduction and
briefing procedures of experimentation. That is, giving inducements as well as the findings of
the study will eventually be to their advantage after the completion of the study. Additionally,
beneficence includes the researchers' accountability for whatever happens to the participants.
Next, a fair selection of participants with the help of a stratified sampling method will
enforce justice in the study. Also, using students rather than other individuals shows justice
for which ineligible participants may not be relevant for the study.
Lastly, the proper credit and citations of the literature and articles used in the research
paper are highly acknowledged. That is, researchers will not submit others' works as their
own or plagiarize. Also, the researcher will not falsify and manipulate the data and
misinterpret the results, violating research ethics.
1. Informed Consent: Obtain informed consent from participants, clearly explaining the
purpose of the research, the types of data that will be collected and analyzed, and how
their privacy will be protected. Participants should have the opportunity to provide
voluntary consent and understand their rights in terms of data usage and
dissemination.
3. Data Security: Implement appropriate security measures to protect the collected data
from unauthorized access, breaches, or misuse. This includes using secure storage
methods, encrypted transmission channels, and restricted access to the data by
authorized personnel only.
4. Minimization of Harm: Consider the potential risks or harm that participants may
encounter due to their online self-presentation being analyzed. Take steps to minimize
any potential negative consequences, such as reputational harm, discrimination, or
emotional distress. Ensure that participants' well-being is prioritized throughout the
research process.
6. Ethical Review and Compliance: Seek ethical review and approval from relevant
institutional review boards or ethics committees. Adhere to applicable laws,
regulations, and ethical guidelines related to data protection, privacy, and research
involving human participants.
