HYBRID MALL WITH SPORTS COMPLEX AND RETAILS

Project Details:
The DDA has given the real estate company Omaxe Ltd. a contract to build a sports complex and retail

project in Dwarka, the nation's capital. One to two billion rupees (Rs. 1,300–1,400 crores) would go toward
the sports complex, while the remaining funds will be used to expand the shopping district.

Using the "Design Build Finance and Operate" concept, the company acquired 50.4 acres of land from the
Delhi Development Authority (DDA). Indoor and outdoor sports facilities will be constructed. In addition to a
shopping district, a giant cricket and football stadium is in the works.

The commercial section would provide places to shop, dine, and participate in sports.

After 20 years, DDA would take over the construction and maintenance of the sports arenas and clubs that
Omaxe has built. Omaxe's planned commercial development will have a 99-year lease.

According to the terms of the deal, Omaxe would build an outdoor stadium with at least 46,000 people. It
will be a stadium for both cricket and football on an international level.

In addition to a swimming pool large enough


for Olympic competitions, the sports complex
will house courts for tennis, badminton, squash,
and table tennis.

The plan calls for a sports club with at least


3,000 paid members as part of its
infrastructure. Omaxe plans to build a
commercial district with around 3.5 million
square feet of retail space.
