OBJECTIVES
1. To provide accessible educational opportunities though courses designed to meet the students’ needs and the community.
2. To provide a faculty dedicated to teaching excellence and the concept that interaction between student and instructor is of foremost importance.
3. To provide services in career transfer and continuing education areas, as needs arise.
4. To seek and to instill in each student the ability to think clearly and critically, and assess and reconcile the concerns he faces.
5. To provide counseling and academic advice and various others needs to assist the student in developing a healthful self-concept and in becoming
a full functioning individual.
6. To provide social, cultural and recreational opportunities, and to make the facilities and services of the College available to the entire
community.

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Quality Processes concepts include the collection of tools, procedures, methodologies, and accumulated knowledge about the development and maintenance of
software-based systems. This course is strongly suggested for any student planning to take an internship in Computer Science. After an overview of the phases of the
software lifecycle, current methodologies, tools, and techniques being applied to each phase will be discussed in depth with localized exercises given to reinforce
learning of concepts. It will also focus on system design, development, maintainability, testing, and documentation. Emphasis is on concepts and practices that reduce
software cost and increase reliability and modifiability.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

At the end of the course, students are expected to:

 Understand how to detect, classify, prevent and remove defects


 Understand how to conduct formal inspections, record and evaluate results of inspections
 Know how to choose which metrics to collect and use them to make predictions
 Choose appropriate testing strategies and develop test cases
 Be able to use Z to formally specify a system and write proofs for algorithms.
