Executive summary:
Avida Cleaning Service is a general and specialized cleaning service company. The company will be based
in Abuja where it will extend a portfolio of services to property owners, both residential and
commercial. It will on AMAC residents and businesses, expanding subsequently to other area councils in
the FCT and further to surrounding near by states.
We would leverage human capital investment and experienced & well-trained cleaning professionals
equipped with state-of-the-art cleaning tools and eco-friendly products to surpass our customers
expectations. We aim to become a reputable brand in the cleaning sector.
Objectives
Avida’s cleaning service’s objectives for the first three years of operation includes

BUSINESS OVERVIEW
Business Ownership/Legal Entity
The business organizational type would be a sole proprietorship and dully registered with the CAC it
would be wholly owned and managed by the founder Mr. Abraham Ayuba.
Mr Abraham would be responsible for scheduling, estimating, training, inventory, payroll and customer
care management. The business workforce for the first year would be outsourced as per service
demands until a sustainable cash flow that can afford full-time staff(s) is achieved.
Location/Operating facilities
Avida Cleaning Service is to be located at Plot 598 Beside Citilodge, Area 1, Garki Abuja. The business will
begin operations from a rented office space, initial investment in setting up the interior facilities,
consumables and inventory will be set up. Additions to space will be made as the company expands
operations.
Hours of operation
Avida Cleaning Service will cater to walk-in as well as online customers, as such it will stay open during
business hours. The office will open between 9am and 6pm to entertain walk-in prospects as well as
fulfill online requests.

Avida Cleaning Service start-up cost includes equipment needed for an office setup, initial legal fees,
marketing fees, cleaning equipment supplies, uniforms, rent fee, mobile vehicle (to be detailed below)
The office equipment includes a computer system, a cell phone, MiFi device, printer and furniture.
The legal fees are used for the business name registration and operational fees (FRSC permit).
Marketing fees are for the production of business cards, social media ads, website creation, and flyers.
The cleaning equipment includes Vacuum cleaner, assorted brooms, mops, chemicals (biodegradable),
buckets, sponges and wipes et al.

MARKET ANALYSIS
We will focus on residential and commercial areas in AMAC of Abuja. This area has the most firms and
government agencies in the FCT, and with numerous commercial activities. Making that a majority of its
residents are employers, employees or civil servants. This would mean that these individuals would
need home or office cleanings at one point or the other, due to their busy schedules. We are out to help
office workers, business owners and civil servants maintain a neat, healthy and a comfortable residential
or business environment to operate from. Our service would be offered in a professional manner and
inline with our customer’s specification.
Abuja has quite a range of different residential and commercial house cleaning services, but no one else
is specifically targeting AMAC. We will be targeting AMAC region which has the highest percentage of
industrial commercial activity in the FCT.
Although there are lots of competitors, we are the only company to focus on our service on the region
with the highest economic activity within the FCT. The available market for our cleaning service and our
customer satisfaction review system will allow us to thrive well, improve and grow.
Market Segmentation
Avida Cleaning Service will be focusing on Residential and Commercial buildings or structures. The first
includes both personally built or owned house(s) and houses in an estate. In the year 2020, it was
estimated that Abuja had about 1.7 million housing units and over 3000 housing estates which is still on
the increase as more fields are cleared and sites selected for situation of estates. This would also mean
more waste generated and the need for proper sanitation in those areas.
Our second segment of the market that we are targeting is commercial or business structures. This
would include the banks, recreational parks, hospitals etc. In a business day magazine for 2023, FCT
Abuja was listed as the second state or city that was considered best for the citing of one’s business firm
because of it’s location at the heart of Nigeria and it’s access to a large market- of both locals and
foreigners.
Avida Cleaning Service is focusing on working class people and businesses, firms in the AMAC who have
tight schedules and are more than willing to pay for this. It is no news that there are other cleaning
services in Abuja, but we are the only one that targets a region with the most business firms exclusively .
This region consists majorly of people who form a larger percentage of the working class citizens of the
state, are very busy and won’t have an issue patronizing the services of cleaners.
We will market our company through a three-pronged approach. One prong is the distribution of a
printed flyers. This we would distribute by strategically visiting our intended clients with flyers showing
details of our services and engaging them in purposeful conversation to further bring to their notice the
full scope of the services we offer and how it benefits them.
The second prong of our approach will be through social media ads. We would pay for our services to be
advertised on Facebook- which has the highest number of users and interactions in the world. We also
would use our platforms on social media platforms like WhatsApp, Instagram, twitter for advertisement.
The third prong of our approach will be through word-of-mouth referrals. We will offer an economic
incentive (such as a special package) to our customers if they bring in new business for us. We believe
this will be effective because the financial incentive will motivate their behavior, and people naturally
like to share good things with their friends.
Competition
Although there are lots of competitors in the cleaning service space, there is good reason for this
competition, demand is high. A majority of the vendors are untrained showing little or no attitude of
professionalism. Although there are also already other professional cleaning services that seem to be
offering good cleaning services already. We intend to deliver quality service by training our staff to
represent the vision of the company, by delivering cleaning service in a highly professional manner. Also,
we would have a customer satisfaction review system per service delivery to help us grade our overall
service delivery performance for our own improvement.
MARKETING AND SALES
Marketing Strategy
Our marketing strategy would involve visits to the location of potential customers and distribution of
printed hard copy flyers. It would also involve payment for adverts to be displayed on various social
media platforms: Facebook, WhatsApp, twitter, Instagram etc. The creation of company website, email
and phone number for responding to enquiries.
Sales Strategy
The sales process will begin through the qualification of leads generated from our marketing campaign.
The marketing campaign will primarily generate leads through interest sparked from our e-flyers and
flyers. Someone will call to receive more information about our service, while
We will be able to give them an estimate over the phone, we would prefer to be able to get into their
home and speak with them. On one hand we would be able to offer them a more accurate estimate.
More importantly however, it provides us an opportunity to impress them with our company. We feel
confident that since we are dealing with people in the Abuja Municipal Area Council, they would have a
better understanding of our pricing rate system which is matched tightly with our professionalism.
For those clients whom we are only able to speak with over the phone, we will ask for a picture of or a
short video of the surrounding, before quoting them a price.
FINANCIAL PROJECTIONS
The establishment of the business will take place in the first month. There’s unlikely to be a lot of official
transactions. Offices will be purchased and equipped in addition to dealing with legal and accounting
issues for the business.
From the second month and beyond, we plan to kick start work fully.
i. Fumigation: Our target would be people living in residential areas. We are projecting
ii. Weekly Private Residential Cleaning: This is the normal weekly routine cleaning of residential
houses targeting around twenty (20) houses per week.
iii. Air-conditioner Quarterly Servicing: This involves the quarterly check of air-conditioner system
to get rid of dust and service of the air-conditioning system. The target is ten (10) houses or
structures and is done on a quarterly basis.
