PRE-PROPOSAL STATEMENTS (Proposed Revision 2022)
WiFi-Internet Access Voucher Thermal Printing System with Money Acceptance and Changer,
and Web Dashboard for Business Statistics
De Guzman, Guiness A.
SECTION 1. INTRODUCTION
A. PROJECT CONTEXT
In the ever-evolving landscape of connectivity, the demand for efficient and user-friendly
WiFi services has surged. The proposed WiFi-Internet Access Voucher Thermal Printing
System with Money Acceptance and Changer aims to address the growing need for a
seamless and secure method of providing internet access while incorporating a business-
friendly approach to payment.
C. OBJECTIVES
The general objective is to create a comprehensive system for WiFi service providers. Specifically, the study
aims to achieve the following:
2. Implement a Secure and Efficient Mechanism for Accepting Cash Payments and Providing Change
2.1 Design a cash acceptance system that securely processes various denominations and detects counterfeit
currency.
2.2 Integrate a changer functionality to automate the process of providing change to users paying with cash.
2.3 Implement robust security measures to safeguard against potential fraudulent activities during cash
transactions.

Delimitation
• The system is not a controller for Wi-Fi access nor wifi provider.
• The system cannot accept more than 100 peso bill.
Look at how others create WiFi access vouchers. Check what features they offer, like customizable options and
security measures.
Think about what works well and what could be improved in existing voucher-making methods.
Handling Money Stuff:
Explore how different systems deal with money transactions for WiFi access. See how they connect with
payment methods and manage physical cash.
Figure out what's good and not so good about these money-handling approaches.
Dashboard Views:
Check out models for online dashboards used in WiFi services. See what features they have for tracking things
like user activity and voucher use.
Think about which dashboard models are easy to use and provide helpful info for businesses.

Description:
Omada by TP-Link:
TARLAC STATE UNIVERSITY
COLLEGE OF COMPUTER STUDIES
Omada by TP-Link is a robust networking solution that caters to businesses seeking an integrated
system for WiFi management. With a focus on user-friendly features, Omada facilitates the
generation and printing of WiFi access vouchers through its voucher management system. This
functionality allows administrators to customize vouchers with parameters like validity periods,
data limits, and user-specific details. While Omada predominantly relies on a voucher-based
model, it seamlessly integrates with various payment gateways for online transactions related to
WiFi access. Moreover, the system provides a comprehensive web-based dashboard, embedded
within the EAP Controller software, offering real-time insights into user activity, voucher usage,
and revenue generation. The dashboard also supports analytics and reporting tools, empowering
businesses with valuable statistics for informed decision-making.
Ruckus:
Ruckus is a top choice for businesses needing solid and scalable WiFi. They have a voucher
system for creating WiFi access passes with features like time and data limits. While Ruckus is
great for WiFi setups, it doesn't handle money transactions directly. For payments related to WiFi
access, it's suggested to smoothly connect with external payment systems. Ruckus Unleashed and
other interfaces let you check out web dashboards, so you can keep an eye on user activity, see
how vouchers are used, and track other important WiFi stats.
MikroTik:
MikroTik is well-known for its RouterOS, which is handy for managing WiFi access. With its
HotSpot feature, administrators can easily make and tweak WiFi vouchers, deciding on things like
how long they're valid and any data restrictions. MikroTik RouterOS also plays nice with external
payment options, so people can pay online for WiFi access. Just keep in mind that if you want to
deal with physical cash or have a changer, you might need some extra tools. MikroTik's simple web
interface and tools like Dude make it easy for businesses to keep an eye on what's happening, like
checking user activity, how vouchers are being used, and how much money is coming in.
