Typeover mode
33 Insert mode
• This is the default mode in most word processors.
• In this case, when the text is inserted between words or characters, it pushes the existing text
away without replacing it.

34 Typeover mode
• It is also known as overtype mode, where the new text that is typed between existing words or
characters automatically replaces the existing text by deleting it.
• To switch between typeover and insert mode, press the insert key on the keyboard.
