other electronic technologies . Social media is receiving more and more attention across a range
of fields, including economics, marketing, health, education, and other areas . Social media has

The Impact of Social Median on Learning English Vocabularies

As stated in Sebah Al-Ali (2014), the amount of exposure and the frequency of use of English
vocabulary in various contexts, forums, and circumstances have an impact on vocabulary
learning. Without being forced to learn, social media offers a flexible environment where
students can be exposed to many vocabulary. For instance, articles shared on social media
platforms like Instagram make the student aware of the need to study fresh material. The learner
might pick up new terminology through reading for enjoyment.
There are both beneficial and negative effects of social media on vocabulary learning, so it's
important to know when to use certain words and when they're grammatically proper. Students
that utilize social media have a higher chance of communicating and doing well in the classroom
than the rest of the class because English is the main language used in the contemporary
transactional world. When compared to Facebook, which has more visuals, social media services
like Twitter are more word-based. Through extensive exposure to words, phrases, and verbs,
learners can use the learned vocabularies in a variety of scenarios.
