What is a Comma
Splice?
A comma splice is the use of a comma to join two
independent causes that do not have a conjunction. This
confuses the reader, making the meaning unclear. To
correct this error, use a full stop or a semicolon to separate
the two independent causes. It is different from a sentence
fragment, which is usually a subject or a verb. It does not
express a complete thought and often feels like a piece of a
sentence that is missing something. To correct this error,
use a comma.
