2. Description and lay-out
The Cross-Over 27 Yacht has displacement hull, with twin screw and transom stern.
Hull is built in steel. Superstructure is built in aluminum.
Propulsion system consists of two diesel engines, maker CATERPILLAR, type C12.9, each performing 850
mhp at 2300 rpm (“E” rating), each coupled to a fixed pitch propeller through reduction gear, maker ZF,
reduction ratio 2.48:1.
The Cross-Over 27 is equipped with a twin spade rudder system, one bow thruster, and one optional
gyroscopic stabilizer system, based on 2x Seakeeper 35, designed to provide active roll reduction both in
underway and ‘at anchor’ condition (zero speed).
The electric power required for vessel service is generated by two main diesel generators, maker ONAN-
CUMMINS, each performing 40 ekW at 400 Vac, 50 Hz, connected to main switchboard bars, without
parallel system. Electrical connection from Shore Power through insulation transformer / frequency
converter (optional).
The Cross-Over 27 will have decks arranged as in the following list. Details according to GA.

1 General
1.1 The painted surfaces of the vessel shall be divided into two areas of Importance:
Smaller coating appearance defects such as described above, may be accepted in LVA depending
on size, nature and location. A local area with small defects shall never be more than 2% of the
overall surface of that area.
The top coat shall have a uniform appearance with little or no difference in texture and the top
coat shall give a clear reflection of images.
2.2 Coatings sags and runs
Major sags and runs are not acceptable.
Small sags and runs may be accepted by the owner depending on size and location.
3 Fairness
The fairness of filler coats shall be of a high standard.
Final layer prior to primer application must be closed and free of pinholes or other cavities.
