Research Methods Syllabus 8-13-20
3. Course Description This course deals with the study of the various types and methods of research used in education, social sciences, health
care management, health financing, health care behavior, economics, business, governance, and related fields. It focuses
on understanding and application of the research process that includes problem identification and definition, reviewing
related literature, formulation of objectives and hypotheses, theoretical and conceptual framework, identification and
operationalization of study variables, selection and application of appropriate research designs, sampling techniques, data
collection, data processing, data analysis and interpretation and report writing.
Lecture-discussions-demonstration = 20 hours
6. Required No. of Hours Workshop/exercises/fieldwork= 20 hours
Individual consultation/presentation=10 hours
