Project: Urban Planning, Primary & Secondary Infrastructure Design of Al-
Dear Sir, With reference to the project and subject bid under Ref. # MPP-12-0988 dated 13 th June 2012; please clarify the following.
1. 1.0 General Requirements:
1.1. b. Primary Infrastructure Design: Please confirm (i) Distribution of housing of different types are limited to 6 types only (ii) Whether Structural/Architectural/MEP of these (6) types are included in the scope (iii) Each type house/villa utility connection/location are not included in the scope.
2. 1.0 General Requirements:
1.13. Company’s schedule requirement: Page 1 of 3 (i) The company overall schedule of 16 months from contract award is inclusive of clients (RC/SABIC/MARAFIQ/STC/SCECO) review time or exclusive. (ii) BID FORM: Our schedule of 3.1.3 (a) is based on clients review time of maximum one week. Any delay in review of more than one week is allowed to adjust the mile stone. Please confirm
3. Payment Terms: (i) As per table 4/F the milestone payment indicates 5% of the payment shall be released on contract award for development work. The award of contract for development work may be delayed due to any reason. Hence we request to add this 5% under approval of 10% of Drawings from RC to make it 15% payment. (ii) Please confirm that the Agreement Document clause 8.4.5 also includes the payment of retention money (10% of contract value).
4. Agreement document: ARTICLE # 20 – INSURANCE: (i) 20.1.1 - Comprehensive General Liability (ii) 20.1.2 – Third Party Motor Liability (iii) 20.1.3 – Workmen’s Compensation Insurance (iv)20.1.4 – Employer’s Liability Insurance All the above are generally not required for this type of project. Please clarify
5. Inputs required: Please confirm that for the successful bidder, the company shall provide (i) Structure Layout Drawings (in Auto CAD format) (ii) UTM Grid coordinates of the site (iii) Topographical Survey of the site (iv)Geotechnical Investigation report (detailed)
