    No. 4 Series of 2024

    Reorganizing of the Barangay Peace and Order Committee (BPOC) of


    Barangay Timbangan, Calbiga, Samar

    Pursuant to to Executive Order No. 309 Series of 1987, as amended, the Barangay
    Peace and Order Committee (BPOC) of Barangay Timbangan, Calbiga, Samar, is
    hereby constituted as follows:

    Section 1. Composition – The Barangay Peace and Order Committee (BPOC) shall
    be composed of the following:

    4. Ms. Gina B. Solayao Member, Lupon Tagapamayapa Member
    5. Mr. Rudolfo N. Raga Chief, Barangay Tanod Member
    6. Mrs. Roselyn D. Amor Representative, Public School Member
    Teacher
    7. Mrs. Anatolia P. Mendaño Representative, Interfaith Group Member
    8. Mrs. Irene B. Mabutol Representative, Senior Citizens Member
    9. Mr. Nicolas F. Arapoc Representative, Barangay-based Member
    Anti-Crime Group
    10. Mr. Dominador Pacaol Barangay Neighborhood Watch Member
    Group Representative
    11. Mr. Rogelio D. Mendaño Representative, NGO/ Civil Society Member

    The Punong Barangay may appoint Sectoral Representative to the committee as may
    be necessary or depending upon the needs and situation in the Barangay.
    Section 2. Functions – The functions of the BPOC shall be as follows:

    1. Formulate the Barangay Peace and Order and Public Safety Plan which shall
    be incorporated in the Barangay Development Plan, and recommend
    measures to improve or enhance the implementation of peace and order
    program in the community;
    2. Monitor and coordinate the implementation of peace and order programs and
    projects at the barangay level, including anti-illegal gambling activities;
    3. Serve as an information-gathering mechanism;
    4. Establish and maintain profile of all residents in the barangay;
    5. Monitor and check the nefarious activities of criminal elements;
    6. Identify barangay constituents who have strong deviant behavior for referral
    to appropriate authorities;
    7. Maintain continuing dialogue, close coordination and support with the higher
    POC and law enforcements units;
    8. Monitor, coordinate and supervise the operation of all community-based anti-
    crime movements within the barangay;
    9. Make a periodic assessment of the prevailing peace and order situation in the
    barangay, and submit a report to include an assessment and situation report
    on illegal gambling, with appropriate recommendations to the higher-level
    POC, and
    10. Perform such other functions which may be assigned by the higher-level POC.

    Section 3. The BPOC Secretariat – The BPOC Secretariat is likewise constituted as


    follows:

    1. Head : Hon. Jaime S. Abantao, Barangay Administrator


    2. Assistance : Ms. Nerissa G. Mendaño, Barangay Secretary
    3. All staff of the Office of the Punong Barangay

    Section 4. Functions of the BPOC Secretariat – The BPOC Secretariat shall


    perform the following functions and responsibilities:

    1. Handle the administrative, operational and technical activities of the BPO;


    2. Prepare plans and programs for the consideration of the Committee;
    3. Supervise, direct and monitor, for the Committee, implementation of
    approved policies, plans and programs;
    4. Undertake liasoning and coordination activities with appropriate agencies of
    the government; and
    5. Provide a forum for inter-disciplinary dialogue and deliberation of major
    issues and problems affecting the peace and order.

    Section 5. Effectivity – This order shall take effect immediately.
