In recent years, living in big cities has become a broad issue to the general public.
Some people believe that the issue has many advantages, however, others think
that it could also have some negative effects. In my opinion, its cons could never
overshadow its pros. The discussion below is several benefits as well as drawbacks
of this problem.
On the one hand, we can take huge advantages of living in big cities. First of all,
people can get easily job opportunities as there are a lot of big companies, factories
as well as corporations which hire many employees and experts. It is the reason
why a big number of people rush to big cities to work. Secondly, there are many
kinds of entertainment for people to enjoy and relax in free time. They can go to
the cinemas, theaters or shopping centers whenever they want, also buy whatever
they need. Finally, education and health care in cities are much better than in the
countryside. Children can have chances to learn at good schools and be taken care
of.
On the other hand, there are several disadvantages of living in a big city. Firstly, it
is too crowded, so there is not enough space for people to live in. They have to live
in small houses or rent tiny flats. Besides, traffic jam makes people feel
uncomfortable. Secondly, this is a pollution problem. Smoke and dirt from cars,
motorbikes and factories is everywhere while there are few trees, even almost no
trees or flowers. This can badly affect people’s health.
In conclusion, the above mentioned facts have outlined the benefits as well as
drawbacks of this issue. Its disadvantages should be taken into account. People
should take advantage of the pros and minimize the cons of this problem
