computers “talk” and “share” information with each other.

Introducing the Microsoft Edge


 It is a web browser in Windows 10 that is used to search the
Internet.
 Microsoft Edge Browser – gives you access to millions of
information about people, animals, places, food and many
other things.
 Browsing – means exploring the information found in the
Internet. You can read books, look for pictures, watch
movies or learn new things.

How to Open Microsoft Edge


1. Using the Search button on the Taskbar, type Microsoft Edge.
Click on the result with this corresponding icon.
2. The Microsoft Edge window will display on the screen. It is now
ready for searching and browsing the net.
Parts of Microsoft Edge Window
The Microsoft Edge has basic parts that are easy to use while
browsing the Internet. Let us identify its parts.

1. Search bar and Address bar – are located at the upper part of
your window page. This is where you put the information or the
website address.
A website address is like a street address that tells your browser
where to go on the Internet.
2. Hyperlink – Clicking the hyperlink button will bring you to
another website or page. You can determine a link when you move
your mouse over a text or object. It will change to a hand pointer.
3. Navigation Buttons – These are the buttons located at the top of
the web page that will allow you to move forward and backward
through websites.
Backward button – allow you to go back through pages you've
recently viewed.
Forward button – allow you to move through pages you've
recently viewed.
Refresh – You can use it if a web page stop working.

IV. EVALUATION/ 20-item quiz about the lesson. 10 item will be true or false about the Internet and 10 item will about identification of the parts of
ASSESSMENT Microsoft Edge.
