SAP EWM – CLASS 25 – Physical Inventory – Process

Process Steps:
1. Create Physical Inventory Document
2. Process Physical Inventory Document – Count & POST the stock (After posting it corrects only
EWM Stock)
3. Check the Warehouse Monitor – EWM Inventory
4. Difference Analyzer – Post the difference to ECC From EWM by Running Difference Analyzer
5. Check the inventory in ECC

Process in Detail:
A. Create Physical Inventory Document: (Tcode = /N/SCWM/PI_CREATE)
Extended Warehouse Management-Physical Inventory-Create Physical Inventory Document
Enter the default values as shown below

Enter
Enter Bin which you want to do Physical inventory document to be created

Execute

Click on ‘Set Flag’ and save the PI document created

Physical Inventory Document 6008 2018 Created (6008 is document number & 2018 is year)

B. Process Physical Inventory Document (Tcode = /N/SCWM/PI_PROCESS).

Click on Execute

Select PI Document 6008, Press on count and enter as Counter “SAP”


And Enter

Enter the exact count of the material – say 1100 KG (Book Count is 1000 KG)

Save

Document 6008 000001 counted

Then Click on SAVE,


Then Again Click on POST & SAVE
Document 6008 000001 POSTED
Note as per the system count is 1000 KG but actual count is 1100 KG

C. Check the Warehouse Monitor = /N/SCWM/MON

Material 367 Quantity corrected to 1100 KG from 1000 KG

D. Post the difference in ECC (Difference Analyzer) - /N/SCWM/DIFF_ANALYZER


Path = Extended Warehouse Management-Physical Inventory- Difference Analyzer

Enter Default Values

Enter the product number – 367 and Execute


Then Click on POST (It will post the differences in ECC)

Warehouse material document 204 created

E. Check the Inventory in ECC (MMBE)

After posting the difference in EWM

END OF PHYSICAL INVENTORY PROCESS

Stock Comparison with ERP = /N/SCWM/ERP_STOCKCHECK


You can use this report to identify and correct inconsistencies between EWM and the ERP system. Since
you perform inventory management for a specific storage bin in EWM, unlike in the ERP system where

you perform inventory management for a specific storage location, the system always assumes that the
stock in EWM is correct. The system also assumes that you must correct the stock in the ERP system
where necessary.

Execute

Determine and Set prices from ERP = /N/SCWM/VALUATION_SET


You can use this report to download product prices from the ERP system in EWM. The system considers
these prices during the tolerance checks when you post physical inventory documents in EWM and when
you post differences to the ERP systems. The EWM transaction code is:

Execute

Post Differences to the ERP System = /N//SCWM/WM_ADJUST


You can use this report to schedule the posting of differences to the ERP system as a background job. If
you use the difference analyzer, you can post differences at a cumulative level and a detailed level. The
system performs the tolerance check with the user settings for the user who starts the report
