NOTE :
If you have real severs and client PC you must doing this final project using real
equipment.
If you haven’t real servers you have to install CISCO packet Tracer 6.1 version and doing
this simulation software.

Background
In this activity, you will configure HTTP and email services using the simulated server in Packet Tracer.

Then configure clients to access the HTTP, DNS, Email and TFTP / FTP services.
Part 1: Configure and Verify Web Services

Step 1: Configure web services on WeblServer

a. Click WebServer and click the Config tab > HTTP.

b. Click On to enable HTTP and HTTP Secure (HTTPS).

c. Optional. Personalize the HTML code.

Part 2: Configure and Verify Email Services on Servers

Step 1: Configure CentralServer to send (SMTP) and receive (POP3) Email.

a. Click EmailServer, and then select the Config tab followed by the EMAIL button.
b. Click On to enable the SMTP and POP3.
c. Set the domain name to vta.lk and click Set.
d. Create a user named with password vta@123. Click + to add the user.

1) Your Name: Yasas


2) Email Address: [email protected]
3) Incoming Mail Server: 192.168.2.5
4) Outgoing Mail Server: 192.168.2.5

Part 3: Configure Client PC to provide DHCP services.


The Basic Setup window displays, by default. Configure the following settings in the Network Setup

section:
Ex-:
1) Change the Start IP Address to 192.168.1.25.
2) Set the Subnet Mask to 255.255.255.0.
3) Enable the DHCP Server.
4) Set the Static DNS 1 address to 192.168.2.15.
5) Scroll to the bottom and click Save.
Part 4: Configure Records on the DNS Server

a. Click DNS server and click the Config tab > DNS.
b. Add the following resource records:

Record Name IP Address

www.vta.lk 192.168.2.10

Part 5: Configure FTP Services on Servers

Step 1: Configure the FTP service on TFTP / FTP Server.

a. Click TFTP / FTP Server > Config tab > FTP.


b. Click On to enable FTP service.
c. In User Setup, create the following user accounts. Click the + button to add the account:
