ENGAGE:
1) Idea - Divide students into groups and assign each group a scenario where they
need to interpret information from a conversation they listen to and act it out.
2) Idea - Conduct a debate where students have to interpret and present arguments
based on the information they listened to.
EXPLORE:
Significance - Students move around the classroom, listening to different audio clips
and interpreting the information they hear.
Instructions - Students listen to each clip and write down their interpretations on the
posters provided.
Assessment Questions:
1) What was the main idea of the audio clip you listened to?
2) How did the tone of the speaker affect your understanding of the information?
3) What additional details did you infer from the audio clip?

ELABORATE:
Task 1 - Students create a podcast episode where they listen to a guest speaker and
interpret the information presented, discussing it in their podcast.
Task 2 - Students analyze a TED Talk or a speech, interpret the key points, and
present a summary in a creative format such as a comic strip or a skit.
EVALUATE:
Question 1 - Provide a short summary of the news report you listened to.
Question 2 - How did the background music in the audio clip influence your
interpretation of the information?
Question 3 - Compare and contrast the viewpoints of the different speakers in the
audio clips provided.
Assignment:
