Collaborative for Leadership in Ayres Sensory Integration (CLASI)

Certificate in Ayres Sensory Integration (CASI)

Modules 2 & 3 - Comprehensive Assessment in ASI

M2 Online Lessons and Self-Study & M3 Onsite Practicum

Modules 2 and 3 include a set of 20 online lessons aimed at orienting the learner to the scope of comprehensive
assessment in ASI followed by intensive and mentored practice in the administration and scoring of the
assessment tools. These Modules include specific methods for assessing core sensory integrative functions,
with an introduction to the ways in which the assessment findings will guide ASI intervention planning. Learners
are encouraged to complete lessons at their own pace, to review and practice with the video clips, and to
practice the tests with adults, prior to attending Module 3. Module 3 will include additional emphasis on
ensuring that comprehensive assessment can be completed in a practical, time efficient manner.

Section 1: Introduction to Assessment in Ayres Sensory Integration (Lessons 1-2)

Content:
Lesson 1: Step 1 Data Driven Decision Making: Identifying Participation Strengths & Challenges
Lesson 2: Understanding Types of Assessments

Learning Objectives:
• Understand the Data Driven Decision Making approach, as applied to ASI
• Identify types of assessments, including benefits and limitations of various types
