    LEARNING ACTION CELL (LAC) MINUTES


    October 10, 2022

    I. PRELIMINARIES
    The session started at 9 o’clock in the morning.
    II. CALL TO ORDER
    The LAC session was facilitated by Mr. Rejie L. Lazarte, the Grade 4 Gold
    Adviser
    III. AGENDA: FIRST QUARTER LEARNING ACTION CELL
    IV. MINUTES
    The session started with the adherence to the guidelines on safety protocols:
    checking of temperatures upon entering the school’s office, sanitizing hands using
    alcohol or hand sanitizer, wearing of face masks with face shields, and observing social
    distancing. Next to that was the signing of attendance administered by Mrs. Edwina A.
    Mopon, the School Attendance Teacher and followed by a spoken prayer led by Mrs.
    Jeselle C. Jaron, a Grade Six Teacher.
    The formal start of the session was faciltated by Mr. Rejie L. Lazarte, the Grade
    4 adviser. During his discussions, he elaborated the following related to Inclusive
    Education:
     Definition of Inclusive Education as education for all regardless learners
    difficulties and disabilities
     He also tackled the provisions that govern this Inclusive Education program
     He clearly discussed the different kind of disabilities among learners and the
    accommodations and scaffoldings to address the needs of the learners with
    disabilities.
    V. ADJOURNMENT
    When all topics were dished out, the session ended at 9:30 a.m.

    VII. MINUTES
    The session started with the adherence to the guidelines on safety protocols.
    Next to that was the signing of attendance administered by Mrs. Edwina A. Mopon, the
    School Attendance Teacher and followed by a spoken prayer led by Mrs. Carul B.
    Pernito, Kindergarten teacher.

    Reading Difficulties: A Glimpse
     He presented a written response of a child who is struggling in reading and
    spelling to his co-teachers.
     He also discussed the possible effects of illiteracy.
     He clearly dished out the different kinds of reading difficulties and have given lots
    of examples.
     He ended up his topics by summarizing them.
    VIII. ADJOURNMENT
    When all topics were dished out, the session ended at 10:30 a.m.

    REFLECTION NOTES ON THE PARTICIPATION OF


    LEARNING ACTION CELLS (QUARTER I & II)
    The First Quarter Learning Action Cell (LAC) that I attended and
    personally facilitated conveys about the Inclusive Education Program. In this
    session, I was made aware that as a teacher nowadays, I should have to create
    a learning environment that promotes a full personal, academic, and
    professional development of all my learners irrespective of their races, class,
    color, gender, disability, sexual preference, learning styles, and language.
    Besides, I should have to treat them equally with warmth and respect. I was
    also thankful to the content of this session because even though I not majoring
    Special Education course, still I was provided with sufficient knowledge on the
    different accommodations and assessment strategies that can help address the
    learning needs of my learners with disability or difficulty in learning.
    On the other hand, the Second Quarter Learning Action Cell (LAC) that I
    have attended and once again personally facilitated focuses on the different
    reasons why most of the learners struggle in reading, writing, and spelling.
    This session was also very substantial because it gave me a hint in diagnosing
    the root cause why some of my learners really struggle in reading, writing, and
    spelling. Moreover, I was also enlightened about the possible worse effect of
    illiteracy to every learner that’s why I need to address it as early as possible.
    As a conclusion, these two Learning Action Cells (LAC) are so beneficial
    in my teaching career not only to provide a welcoming atmosphere to all my
    learners with varied backgrounds and disabilities, but also to provide them
    with the best learning accommodations that I could ever give to help them
    achieve a meaningful learning experience.
