Offshore Planner
SITUATION IN ORGANIZATION
Position to report: LEAD PLANNING ENGINEER
Present job holder:
ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Responsible for the detailed L4 planning offshore.
2. Responsible for deliverables such as S-curves, one-page dashboard, histograms and tabular
man-hour reports. Act as primary interface between OCS offshore and On-shore planners.
3. Prepare L4 schedules for offshore execution in discussion with Job Card preparators,
Construction coordinators and offshore OCS/construction supervisors.
4. Should be able to use Navis Work and review 3D Model to develop robust offshore execution
plans with proper duration.
5. Responsible for progress reporting of the Job cards executed offshore and capturing the time
writing and actual hours per vendor.
6. Responsible for forecast planning with maintain minimum workload in terms of planned
manhours for the approved POB offshore.
7. Responsible for checking the physical progress offshore and freezing the 6 Weeks Look ahead.
8. Ensure in discussion with OCS and supervisors the offshore plan is achievable with respect to
material availability and resources.
9. Provide input to onshore planner with any clashes that is expected due to other SIMOPS activity for highlighting in
IOP meetings.
10. The Service holder ensure that all HSSE, Quality and Technical contractual requirements are duly applied by
Contractors. and all Subcontractors.
11. The Service holder organizes / participates to routine and/or random inspections and audits, to daily / regular
construction. meeting with Contractor and promotes safety awareness at all level through exemplary and pro-active
attitude with Project team and Contractor (Subcontractors).
12. The Service holder is also accountable for demonstrating, individually, and exemplary behavior regarding
HSE, ethics and ‘’code of conduct”.
JOB DIMENSIONS
Manage projects with LOP budget from 20-120 MUSD for the offshore execution scope.
ACTIVITIES
1. Provision of day-to-day planning support with the offshore Team to help ensure the successful and timely delivery of all work
within assigned project.
2. Produce planning deliverables such as S-curves, one-page dashboard by project, histograms and tabular man-hour reports.
3. Routinely performing complete or component analysis of projects and notifying the entire project team about abnormalities or
variances with respect to offshore productivity.
4. Monitor, analyze and validate project status, ensure timely and accurate updating of project dashboards and highlight
issues early to the stakeholders.
5. Act as point of contact for any offshore activities and progress reporting.
6. Carry out any other duties or tasks that may be assigned by his hierarchical superiors.
7. The Planner is responsible for planning work order tasks by clearly identifying the work needed by craft and associated
equipment and materials to complete the job safely and efficiently.

9. Update day-to-day planning & forecast dates for the offshore activities.
10. Follow up on the physical progress of the planned activities and provide delay analysis.
General Context:
DBN PWM PROJECT mainly consist in two main scope dealing with:
Main scope: New produced Water Management modules fully equipped to be fabricated and installed
offshore (with HLV), modules being either jacket supported or in cantilever on 2 different locations of ALS
field (A & B Locations) and all associated brownfield and integration works.
Main options: New outboard slots module to be installed on AB-platform (T&I by HLV) including
subsea structures (boat fender and CP guides) and all associated integration works,
Other options related to both OBS and PWM scope (as defined in EPCIC Exhibit A).
Environment:
Controlled
Complex operational interfaces with other entities of NOC in a major and large Brownfield
offshore environment.
Mature installations with significant integrity issues.
EPCIC execution shall take place at Contractor premises,
Possibility of multiple worldwide missions or relocations to follow-up engineering development and EPCIC
execution with various contractors.
Base scheme:
Rotation Qatar Offshore (28 days/28) with possible mission to project premises (onshore/ in the
country/ outside the country).
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
1. Engineer with minimum of 10 years’ experience in Planning / Scheduling of O&G installations. Thorough
experience and understanding of planning and scheduling principles and in the use of Primavera P6 software
Experience in estimation and/or specialization in finance (accounts and management) and/or experience in EPCIC
project management.
2. SAP knowledge in PM and MM Modules would be an added advantage.
3. Demonstrable proficiency with integrated planning environments and processes.
4. Experience in the use of relevant software (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, Power BI). Fluent
in English.
5. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
6. TBOSIET and H2S training to be completed.
7. Medically fit to work on offshore Installation.
