Co Dependency

1. Our ultimate dependency should be on God alone, not on people or our own strength. While it is foolish to depend entirely on oneself, an unhealthy dependency on others should also be avoided. 2. The Bible teaches a balance of trusting in God but also taking responsible action. Nehemiah is an example of praying to God for help but also posting guards in defense of Jerusalem. 3. A positive goal mentioned in the passage is to lead a quiet life where one is not entirely dependent on others for support through working with one's own hands and maintaining respect in the community.
