MODELLING

After printing the net, I folded all the flaps up

and assembled the net together using glue.

The modelling process is very important when manufacturing process as it allows the manufacturer to
test the product at hand and can check If a product is fit for purpose before spending large amounts of money
on mass production. Thus, that then further allows the manufacturer to plan the cost, quantities, and
materials, as well as allow a designer to physically handle a design and view from all sides.
Changes to the design or product net can be made quickly and easily, for example, improvement
in aesthetics and function can be made before production starts.
While most models are scaled down when being produced, I haven’t done that in my modelling process. This
is because my product is small and does not need to be scaled down when modelled.

After putting everything together, I

made a few notes of improvements to
make for my final design

This part of the box is open upwards,

instead of folded around the round edge.
My improvement will be adding more

A solution for this is small triangled flaps The tray seems to be quite loose on the box. My

The height of the tray can also be reduced a few mm so
