 15- 20 MINUTES

EQUIPMENT OR USAGE:

 THE CLASS MAY USE DIFFERENT EQUIPMENT (e.g., smartphones, cameras) FOR FILMING
DEPENDING ON THE AVAILABILITY.
 THE CLASS SHOULD BE THE ONE TO EDIT THE FILM/VIDEO.
 NO HIRING OF VIDEOGRAPHER AND EDITOR

SAFETY AND LOCATIONS:

 THE CLASS MAY SHOOT FILM VIDEO OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL BUT THEY WILL PROVIDE
INDIVIDUAL PARENTS CONSENT WITH SIGNATURE OF PARENT, ADVISER AND MAPEH
TEACHER
 NO FILMING OUTSIDE BUTUAN CITY
 NO FILMING OUTSIDE THE CITY PROPER
 THE WHOLE FILM SETTING/VENUE SHOULD BE MORE INSIDE THE SCHOOL PREMISES

CASTING AND EXEPTIONS:

 THE (1) DIRECTOR, (2-3) VIDEOGRAPHER, AND (2) SCRIPT WRITER WILL HAVE FREEDOM TO
CHOOSE WETHER HE/SHE JOINS THE ACTOR AND ACTRESS.
 CASTING DECISION SHOULD BE DONE FAIRLY AND TRANSPARENT
 EVERYONE MUST JOIN THE SHORT FILM

FILM GENRE:

 DRAMA
 LOVESTORY
 HORROR
 COMEDY

Theme Selection: Students should select a theme or topic that is appropriate for their age group and
aligns with curriculum objectives. Themes could include friendship, identity, overcoming challenges, or
social issues relevant to adolescents.

Scriptwriting: Each student or group of students must develop a concise script for their short film.
Scripts should include clear dialogue, engaging characters, and a well-defined plot structure (beginning,
middle, and end).

Storyboarding: Before filming begins, students must create a storyboard that outlines the visual
sequence of their short film. The storyboard should include sketches or descriptions of key scenes,
camera angles, and any special effects or transitions.
Production Plan: Students should create a production plan that outlines roles and responsibilities,
filming locations, equipment needed, and a schedule for filming and editing. Collaboration and
teamwork should be emphasized throughout the production process.

Editing: After filming is complete, students will edit their footage using video editing software. They
should incorporate sound effects, music, and visual effects as needed to enhance the storytelling.
Editing should be completed within a specified timeframe.

Final Presentation: Each student or group will present their short film to the class.

Assessment Criteria: Short films will be assessed based on creativity, storytelling, technical execution,
collaboration, and adherence to the given requirements. A rubric outlining specific criteria and scoring
are as follows

Creativity and Originality: 25%


Does the film present a unique concept or storyline?
Are creative techniques, storytelling methods, or artistic elements employed effectively?
Story and Narrative Structure:
Is the plot engaging and well-developed?
Are the characters well-defined and relatable?
Does the film have a clear beginning, middle, and end?

Technical Execution: 20%


Is the film visually appealing?
How effective is the use of cinematography, lighting, and camera angles?
Are sound quality and editing seamless and appropriate?

Acting and Performance: 20%


How convincing are the performances of the actors?
Do the actors effectively portray their characters and convey emotions?
Is there chemistry or believability among the cast?

Pacing and Editing: 15%


Is the pacing of the film appropriate for the story being told?
Are transitions between scenes smooth and well-executed?
Does the editing enhance the overall impact of the film?

Audience Engagement: 10%


How well does the film capture and maintain the audience's attention?
Does the film effectively connect with its intended audience?
Are there elements that could potentially alienate or confuse viewers?

Overall Impact:10%
Considering all aspects of the film, what is its overall impact?
Does the film leave a lasting impression on the viewer?
How does it compare to other short films in terms of quality and effectiveness?
