TheNasiri Dua
The Dua for the Oppressed of Shaykh Muhammad ibn Nasir ad-Dari
‫ ميحرال نمحرال هلال مسب‬، ‫ينعمجا هباحصا و هال لىع و ميركال ىبنال لىع هلال لىص و‬
O You to Whose mercy one flees! There is nothing more majestic than
You in Whom the one in need and Your immense power, and nothing
distress seeks refuge! mightier than the might of Your
force.

O Master, You Whose pardon is

Kings are humbled to the might
near! O You Who help all who call
of Your domain, and You lower or
on Him!
elevate whomever You wish.

We seek Your help, O You who help The entire affair returns to You,
the weak! You are enough for us, O and the release or conclusion of all

‫ُه لوا ْ َم �َي ِو فَع ال َب ْي ِر ق �َي َو‬

‫ف ٰ�‬ ‫أ ِّب َر �َي اَن ُب ْس َ�‬ ‫ْن‬ ‫َو َت‬ ‫ف َك‬

‫َف‬ ‫َج أ َل‬ ‫ُق ِ� ْيِظ َع ْن ِم َّل‬ ‫ْك ِتَر ْد‬

‫ِع ِل‬ ‫� كْو لُل ا ِك لُم ِّز‬ ‫ُع َض‬

‫ُه ُّد َر كْي إل ُه ك ُر ْم‬

‫ُه دقَع َو ُل َح كْيدَي ِبَو‬

We have presented our affair before They have weakened our solidarity
You, and we complain to You of our and
weakness. strength and diminished our
numbers
and our preparation.
Have mercy on us, O You Who know
our weakness and continue to be
merciful. O You Whose kingdom cannot be
pillaged, give us shelter by Your
rank
which is never overcome!
Look at what we have experienced
from people! Our state among them is
as You see.
O Succour of the poor, we trust in
You!
O Cave of the weak, we rely on
Our troops are few and our wealth is You!
little. Our power has declined among
groups.

‫َت ْس اَو‬ ‫َع ْض‬ ‫ْو َش َ�ف ْو ُف‬ ‫َك‬ ‫ْة َّد ِش َو ًة‬

‫ْس اَو‬ ‫ْن َت‬ ‫َّد ُع َ�ف ْو ُص َق‬ ‫َّد ِع َو ًة‬ ‫ْة‬

‫ُب لْس ُي ال هكلُم ْن َم �َي ُن ْح نف‬

‫ُب لغُي ال ْي ِذ ال ك ِه اَ�ج ِج �ف ذل‬

‫ْي لَع‬ ‫ْك �َي َك‬ ‫ال َف‬ ‫ِم َت ْع َن ِف ْي ِع َّض‬ ‫ْد‬
You are the One on Whom We call to pardons when we slip.
remove our adversities, and You are the
One we hope will dispel our sorrows.
You have full knowledge of all
You
have created, and encompassing
compassion, mercy and
You have such concern for us that forbearance.
we cannot hope for protection which
comes through any other door.
There is no one in existence more
lowly than we are nor poorer and
more
We rush to the door of Your bounty in need of what You have than us.
and You honour the one You enrich by
Your gift.

You are the One Who guides when we

are misguided. You are the One who

‫ِل ِ ضف ِب ابِب عسن يِذ ال تنأ‬

‫ِل ِ ين ِض يفِب �غأ نم مرك أ‬

‫ا نللض اذإ يِد � يِذ ال تنأ‬

‫انللز اذإ وفعت يِذ ال تنأ‬

‫ا لِع تقلخ ام ك تعِس و‬

‫الِح و ةحرو ةفأرو‬

‫ُر قحأ ِدْو جُو ال �ي ِ انِم َس يل و‬

‫ُر قفأ انِم كدنِع اَل ِ ال و‬

O you of vast kindness! O You Whose Be kind to us in what You decree
good encompasses all mankind, and no and let us be pleased with what
other is called on! pleases
You. ‫ُه ُ� ْي غ ىٰد اَن ُي لوا َ ىٰر َو‬

O Saviour of the drowning! O

Compassionate! O rescuer of the lost! O Allah, ‫�ي‬
change
‫ذِق نم‬the state
‫�رغال‬ of ‫نانح‬
‫�ي و‬
O Gracious Bestower! hardship
for ease and help us with the wind
of
Words are lacking, O Hearing, O victory.
Answerer! The cure is difficult, O
Swift! O Near!
Give us victory over the
aggressors
and contain the evil among those
To you, our Lord, we have stretched who
out our hands and from You, our Rabb, asked for it.

‫ْب ْي مِج �َي ُع ْي ِس �َي قاطِن ال قاض‬

‫َ �َي ُء اَو دال َّز َع‬ ‫ْب ْي ِر ق �َي ُع ْي ِس‬

‫َقَو‬ ‫َم ْد‬ ‫ا اَن َّب َر َ�ف ْد َد‬ ‫أَل‬

‫ْن ِمَو‬ ‫ال َ�ف ْو َج َر اَن َّب َر َك‬ ‫ُّل‬ ‫ْط‬ ‫َف‬

‫ق ِه ِب اَم ْ�ي ِف اَن ِب فطالف‬ ‫َت ْي َض‬

‫ْي ِض َر ِه ِب اَ� ِج اَن ِّض َر َو‬ ‫َت‬

‫ال لِد ْبَأَو‬ ‫اَح َّم ُه ّٰل‬ ‫ا َل‬ ‫س ْ ُع ْل‬

‫ْص َّن ال‬ ‫ْ�‬ ‫ْ ُي‬ ‫ي ِ� ِج َ�ف ْد ُد ْم اَو ِس‬

‫َع ْج اَو‬ ‫َع اَن َل ْل‬ ‫ا َل‬ ‫ُب ْل‬ ‫ا ِة ا َغ‬ ‫ْل‬ ‫َغ‬ ‫ْة َب َل‬

‫اَو‬ ‫أ ْص ُ ْق‬ ‫َّش ال ىَذ‬ ‫َط ْن َم ٰل َع ِّس‬ ‫َب َل‬ ‫ْة‬

Overpower our enemy, O Mighty, Be for us and do not be against us.
with a force which disorders them and Do not leave us to ourselves for a
crushes them. single instant.

Overturn what they desire and make

We have no power of defence
their efforts fail, defeat their armies
nor have we any device to bring
and unsettle their resolve. about
our benefit.

O Allah, hasten Your revenge among

them They cannot stand before Your We do not aim for other than Your
power. noble door, we do not hope for
other
‫ْك َتَر ْد ُق َن ْو ُز ِج ْع ُي‬
than Your encompassing bounty.
O Lord, O Lord, Our protection is by
Your love, and by the might of Your
help.

‫�ِع فدلِل ةوق انقطأ ا‬

 ‫ا ر� �ي ِز ع �ي �ادِع ر�او‬

‫ارهظال ِم صيو مهلبح ِص في‬

‫ْم ُ� َي عس بِّي خَو ْه داَر م ْس ِك عاَو‬

‫ْم ُ� َي أَر دِس فأَو ْم ُ� وُي ج مِز هاَو‬

‫ِن ْم ِ� ي ِف َّم ُه ّٰل‬ ‫ْك َت َم ْق‬

‫َو‬ ‫ال لّع َِج‬

‫ْك ِت َم ْص ِع ِل ْب َ� ِج ِّب َر �َي ِّب َر �َي‬

‫ا نيلع نكت لوا انل نكف‬

‫انيإل ةفرط انِك ت لوا‬

‫َت ْس ا لَوا‬ ‫َّن لِل ًلت َ ْي ِح اَن ْع َط‬ ‫َ عْف‬

‫ي ِر كال كِب�َج َ� ْي غ �ف دَص ق اَمَو ْ ْ�‬

‫يِم عال كِل ضف �ي غ �وجر امو �‬
Minds only hope for Your blessing O Lord, preserve our crops and
by the simple fact that you say 'Be" and herds,
it is. and preserve our trade and make
our
‫ُن ْو ُك َي ْن ُك ُلْو ُق َت‬
numbers more!
O Lord, O Lord, arrival is by You
to what You have and seeking the
means is by You! Make our land a land of the deen
and repose
‫ ْيَد َل‬for
‫ َك‬the
‫ ِبَو‬needy
‫َو َّت ال َك‬and
‫ُّص‬the
‫ُل‬
poor.
O Lord, You are our high pillar
of support! O Lord, You are our
impregnable fortress.
Give us force among the lands as
well
as respect, impregnability and a
O Lord, O Lord, give us security polity.
when we travel and when we remain. ‫ان‬

‫َو ةَع ْن َم َو ةَم ْر‬ ‫لْو َد‬

‫َج َر اَ� َف‬ ‫ِ� ْي َخ ْن ِم ْت‬ ‫ال َك‬ ‫ُن ْو ُن ُّظ‬

‫ِب ِّب َر �َي ِّب َر �َي‬ ‫ُل ُس َو َّت ال َك‬

‫نأ ِّب َر �َي‬ ‫ُع ْي ِفَّر ال انكُر َت‬

‫نأ ِّب َر �َي‬ ‫ُع ْي ِن َل ا اننْص ِح َت‬

‫ِن َأ ِّب َر �َي ِّب َر �َي‬ ‫ا اَن ْل‬ ‫لَأ‬

‫ان�أ اذإو انل�را اذِإ‬

‫ا نع�و انعرز ظفحاو ِب ر�ي‬

‫انعحج رِفوو �را� ظفحاو‬

‫اَو �‬ ‫َع ْج‬ ‫ب ْل‬ ‫ب َ�ف َدَل‬ ‫ف ْيِّد ال َدَل‬

‫اتحال ةحار و ِ�‬ ‫ي ِك سِل او ِج‬

‫لوص ِدلِبال �ي ب ال لعجاو‬

Appoint it its might from the And by the rank of that by which
protected secret, and grant it the
protection by the beautiful veiling. Prophets prayed to You, and the
rank
of that by which the Awliya' pray
to
you.

By Sad, Qaf and Nun, place a thousand

veils in front of it. And by‫ِب ْل‬the‫َص‬rank
‫َو ٍد ا‬of
‫اَق ِب‬the
‫ ٍف‬power
‫ ْو ُن ِبَو‬of ‫ْن‬
the
Qutb and the Awtad and the rank
of
the Jaras and Afrad.
By the rank of the light of Your noble
Face and the rank of the secret of Your
immense kingdom.

And by the rank of 'la ilaha illa'llah' 7

and the rank of the Best of Creation,
O our Rabb.

‫ْء‬ ‫ِه ِب اَم ِه‬ ‫أَل ا َك اَع َد‬

‫ِد‬
‫ا هزِع ِن وصال ِس ال نِم لعجاو‬

‫ِل يِم ال ِ� ِس ال نِم لعجاو‬

‫اهزرِح‬

‫أ‬ ‫ْل‬ ‫َي اَ� ِأ اَر َو ْن ِم ٍب اَح ج ِ َف‬ ‫ْو ُك‬ ‫ْن‬

‫ُن ِه اَ�ج ج ْ �‬ ‫�ْج َو رْو‬ ‫ا َك‬ ‫ْل‬ ‫ي رَك‬

‫ِ ِه اجو ِ�‬ ‫يِظ عال ِك لم ِس‬

‫ل ال الِإ َل ٰ إ ال ِه اَج َو‬

‫ُه �ّج َر �َي ِق لَلف ا ِ� ْي خ ِه اَج َو‬

‫اَع َد ِه ِب اَم ِه اَج َو‬ ‫أَل ْ ا ا َك‬

‫َق ِه اَج َو‬ ‫ا ِر ْد‬ ‫ْل‬ ‫ُق‬ ‫أَل ْااَو ِب ْط‬

‫ِد ارف‬ ‫ا ِل اَح ِه اَج َو‬ ‫أَل ْااَو ِس ْر َلْج‬

And by the rank of the Akhyar and the O Rabb, O Rabb, make us stand
rank of Nujaba' and the rank of the as ‫لَأ ْ ا ا ِه‬
Abdal and the rank of the Nuqaba'. fuqara' before You, weak and
lowly.
‫ابقنال ِه اجو ِل ادب‬ ‫أَل ْ ا ا ِه‬

And by the rank of every one

worshipping and doing dhikr and the ‫ّك‬
We call to You ‫رِك اذ‬theِ ‫ُ ِه‬
‫و ٍد ِباع‬with
rank of everyone praising and giving supplication of
thanks. the one who calls on a noble ُ ‫ّك‬
‫ ِه‬Lord
who
does not turn aside those who
And the rank of everyone whose call.
worth You elevated both those who are ‫ّك ُ ِه‬
‫ِ هردق تعفر نم‬
concealed and those whose renown has
Accept our supplication with
spread. Your
pure grace, with the acceptance of
someone who sets aside the fair
And the ranks of the firm ayats of the reckoning.
Book and the rank of the Greatest

‫ا ِت �َي آ ِه اَج َو‬ ‫َك ْح ُل ْ ا باَت ِك ْل‬

‫ْع‬ ‫َع ُل ْ ا م َظ‬ ‫م َّظ‬ ‫ْ ا ا ِه اَج َو‬ ‫ا ِس ْ ِل‬ ‫أَل‬

‫ا رقف انفقو ِب ر�ي ِب ر �ي‬

‫ارقح ءافعض كيدي �ي ب‬

‫ا عد نم ءاعد ك�وعد دقو‬

‫عس نم د�ي ال ا�ي ِر ك �ج ر‬

‫َأ ْن َم َلْو ُب َق‬ ‫ا َب اَس ِح ٰعف ْل‬ ‫ل ْد َع ْل‬

Bestow on us the favour of the Confine our manifold desires to
Generous, and show us the kindness of You
the Forbearing. and grant us full and complete
gnosis.

O Merciful, extend Your mercy over us

and spread Your blessing over us, O ‫ْك َت َح ْ َر ُ� ْي َر �َي‬
Combine both ‫ِح‬knowledge and
Generous. action
for us, and direct our hopes to the
Abiding Abode.
Choose for us in all our words
and select for us in all our actions. ‫ِل‬
O Lord, make us follow the road of
the fortunate and make our seal the
O Lord, make it our habit to cling and Seal of the martyrs, O Rabb!
devote ourselves to the resplendent
Sunna.

‫ُس ْباَو‬ ‫َع ْط‬ ‫َت َم ْع ِن ُ� ْي ِر َك �َي اَن ْي َل‬ ‫ْك‬

‫ا ِ� ِأاَس ْ� ِف اَن َل ْر ِخ َو‬ ‫أَل‬

‫الَع ف‬ ‫ِف اَن َل ْ� َت ْخ‬ ‫ا ِ� ِأاَس ْ�ي‬ ‫أَل‬

‫َع ْج اَو ِّب َر �َي‬ ‫َك ُّس َم َّت ال اَن َبأَد ْل‬

‫كسنتالو ِء ارغال ِة نسل�ِج‬

‫أ اَن َل ْص ُ ْح اَو‬ ‫اَر ْغ‬ ‫ِل َت ْحف ُل ا اَن َض‬ ‫ْة َف‬

‫ْ اَو‬ ‫ِ�‬ ‫ا ِر اَد ٰل ِإ ْف‬ ‫ا اَّن ِم اَق َب ْل‬ ‫أَل‬

‫ا دعسال ج� ِب ر �ي انِب ج�او‬

‫اد�ال �خ ِب ر �ي انل �خاو‬

Make our sons virtuous and righteous, reunification easy.
scholars with action and people of
good counsel.
O Lord, grant Your clear victory
to the
O Allah, remedy the situation of one who takes charge and
empowers
the people and, O Allah, make the
the Deen.
‫ِل‬

‫لْم َّش ال َع ْح َج َّم ُه ّٰل ال ِّس‬

َ ‫أْل‬
 ‫ا حلص ءلضف انيِن ب لعجاو‬

‫احصن �ي ِل ِم اع ءالعو‬

‫ال ِح ِل ْص َأ َو‬ ‫اَح َّم ُه ّٰل‬ ‫ا َل‬ ‫لَأ‬

�َ ‫ا كَح ْت ف ْح َت فاَو ِّب َر �َي‬ ‫ف ْي ِبُل‬

�َ ‫يِد ال َّز َع أَو لَو ت ْن َل‬ ‫ِ ف‬

And help him, O You Who are

forbearing, and help his party, and fill ‫هب زِح صناو ِلوطال اذ �ي هصناو‬
his heart with what will make him Preserve it, O Lord, through the
pleasing to you. preservation of the scholars, and
raise
the minaret of its light to heaven.
O Lord, help our Muhammadan deen,
and make it end mighty as it began.
 ‫ُه َب لق ُه ْن َع كْي ِض ْ� ُي اَ� ِج‬

‫ْي ِد َّم َح ُل ا انيِد ْص ُ ناَو ِّب َر �َي‬

‫يِد ب ا ك ِه ِز ِع ماتِخ لعجاو‬

‫ا لعال ِظ فِ� ِج ِب ر �ي هظفحاو‬

‫امسال ِإل ِه ِرون رانم عفراو‬

‫‪Pardon, grant well-being, make up for‬‬

‫ا نبنذ رِف غاو ِف ك او ِف اعو فعاو‬
‫‪our deficiency and forgive our sins‬‬
‫‪the sins of every Muslim, O our Lord.‬‬ ‫‪10‬‬
‫ِ انب ر �ي ٍل ِ سم‬ ‫َو‬ ‫َذ‬ ‫ّك ُ َب ْن‬
O Rabb, bless the Chosen one Then bless his noble family and
with your perfect prayer of blessing. glorious Companions and those ‫ّل‬
who
have followed them.

Your prayer is that which grants

Praise belongs to Allah by whose
success in his business as befits his
praise those with an aim
lofty worth. completely
fulfil that aim.

‫َص‬ ‫َت َل‬ ‫ا َك‬ ‫ْل‬ ‫ا َلت َ ِم َك‬ ‫ِْل‬ ‫راَد ْق‬

‫َص‬ ‫َت َل‬ ‫ا َك‬ ‫ِه ِر م�ج ْ� ف َت ْ� ت َّل‬

‫ِه ِر دق ِع افِتر�ِج قيِل ي ا ك‬

‫ٰل َع َو ِم اَر ِك ال ِل الا لَع َّ� ش‬

‫لت مل نمو ِر غال ِه ِباصأ‬

‫ِه ِد م� يِذ ال ِل ِ ل دمال و‬

‫ِه ِد صق ما� ِد صقال وذ غلبي‬
