1. Introduction
This document will provide insight on how to access VDI environment. There are two options to access VDI.

a. Access VDI from Horizon client (The Horizon client is more convenient then HTML access)
b. Access VDI from any browser

2. Access VDI from Horizon client

1. Access https://vdih.saib.com.sa from any browser

1. Bottom of the page you will see “Download the Horizon Client for Windows”
Click on that link it will take you to the download page.

 Click on “Go To DOWNLOADS”

 Click on “DOWNLOAD NOW”

 Double click on downloaded file and start the installation

 Click on Customize Installation

 Uncheck “Virtualization Pack for Skype for Business” as highlighted in red

 Click the check box “Enable Key logger Blocking” as highlighted in red
 Click “Agree & Install”

 Installation is in progress
 After Horizon client installation the Horizon client icon will appeared on your desktop. Click on that icon and follow below procedure.

 Double click on “Add Server”

 Enter your Windows user and password and click “Login”

 Accept DUO authentication on your mobile

 After successful logged in you will get “My Desktop” Double click on it and access your desktop.

3. Acess VDI from any browser

 Access VDI from any browser

1. Access this link “https://vdih.saib.com.sa” from any browser and click “Accept”

2. Type your Windows account and password and click “Login”

3. Click on “My Desktop”

4. Click “OK” and access your desktop

4. Upgrade Horizon Client

If Horizon client is already exist, you need to uninstall and reinstall Horizon client

1. Click on Start and type “control panel” and click on open

2. Go to “Programs and Features”

1. Search and select “VMware Horizon Client” and uninstall  for reinstallation please follow this Access VDI from Horizon client

Appendix A

5. After logged in & Important Notes

After logged in there are few things that needs to be done at first time
1. Login to Jabber
2. Login to MS Team
3. Configure Outlook
4. Application parameters if any

For any technical support, please contact to [email protected]

Important Notes:

 Don’t save anything in C drive

 Don’t save important SAIB data (files & folders) in VDI machine
 You must save all important data in share folder only
 If you don’t have any work always log off your VDI session from VDI machine and Horizon client
