(b) z = xy + y x2 − a2 + b
(c) z = ax2 + bxy + cy 2
(d) z = ax2 + by 2 + cz 2 = 1

2. Form the partial differential equation by eliminating the function from the following relations.

(a) z = f (x2 − y 2 )
(b) xyz = φ (x + y + z)
(c) z = f (x)g(y)
(d) z = f (2x + y) + g(y − 3x)
(e) f (xy + z 2 , x + y + z) = 0
