Harry Potter , which is a fantasy novel, written by the British author J. K. Rowling. The book describes the life of a young wizard named Harry Potter and his two best friends. The world of Harry Potter explores many themes and includes many cultural meanings and references. This is my favorite book because it took me to a wonderful world where I could build my own world away from the complexities of the real world. This is also my favorite movie because it helps me connect with the characters to the point that it influences me to think positively in life. Describe an email you have received. I rarely use email because I use the phone more. Last week I received an email from a college friend of mine. Her name is Linh. The content of the email was that she invited me to her birthday on December 1st. Describe a particular situation or event you remember most. I remember the most the event in 2020 when I was admitted to university, I was very happy. I have informed my relatives. It was an important event I will never forget. Describe a person whom you like to work or study with. The person I like to work with is Thuong. She is very beautiful, she is very hardworking. I am very happy working with her because she is always proactive in her work. Describing a piece of equipment you often use at home or at work. That device is a computer. It is really useful device for me. Sometimes I listen to music and watch movies on the computer. I can edit photos with photo editing software, write anything on word processing applications like Word, create presentations with PowerPoint. I prefer computers rather than mobile phones for browsing the internet. The big screen is really cool. Describe your favourite leisure activity. My favourite leisure activity is listening to music. Firstly, Listening to music not only help me relax but also provide me with musical knowledge. Secondly, it makes me relax after a hard-working day. Thirdly, listening to music is a form of entertainment that helps keep my mind comfortable. It also helps my broaden my English vocabulary and learning words I don't know. Finally, they help my soul more plentiful and more love of life. Describe a kind of extreme weather. I really hate when it's hot and humid outside. It felt like I couldn't breathe and my clothes were sticking to me. It was the worst! Trying to do anything in that weather was a struggle. The only way to stay cool is to stay in air conditioning, but that's not always possible. I just hope a cool breeze will come and make it bearable. Describe your favourite subject at school. My favorite subject is the one that most students consider as boring, and it is History. I love to collect historical books, and I always need to know a complete story about a certain event. For example, if I have a lesson about the discovery of America tomorrow, I will search online for more details that relating to it. It makes my teachers surprise sometimes, and most of them admit that it is very rare to meet a student who actually love and want to study History. Describe your favourite trip. This summer I went to My Khe beach in Da Nang. It was an interesting trip. When I arrived in Da Nang, I walked along the beach to breathe in the fresh air and watch the sunrise. The weather there is very nice, people are friendly. I hope to have the opportunity to return to this place. Part 3: Discussion (4’) - Do you like to work alone or with a partner? Why? - What are the advantages of studying by yourself? Self-study helps people understand and acquire knowledge proactively and comprehensively. Self-study helps people remember longer. Helps people become active, creative, not dependent, not dependent on others. - What are the differences between life in the past and at the present? Past: In the past, people used animals such as horses, donkeys, and camels to move from one place to another. People lived in caves, simple huts made of mud, wood, and stones. Currently: transportation has become more widespread and easier; There are many types of convenient vehicles to move on land, in the air and under water. Additionally, extreme weather events such as hurricanes or blizzards can cause stress and anxiety. However, it is important to note that individual reactions to the weather can vary widely and not everyone is affected equally. - Do you think that surfing the Internet, watching TV, listening to music or keeping a pet are interesting hobbies? Yes, because I used to have pets before. I feel happy. In addition, surfing the web, listening to music,... also helps me reduce stress in life. - How different are hobbies today from those 20 years ago? - What should the government do to attract tourists? To attract tourists, the government needs to come up with policies to attract tourists and strongly promote products and images. - What is the difference between reading books and watching films?
