Program Outcomes (POs) (Common to all Branches):
Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science,
P
engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of
PO1
complex engineering problems.
Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze
P
complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using
PO2
first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering
P problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified
PO3 needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the
cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge
P and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and
PO4 interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid
conclusions.
Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources,
P
and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to
PO5
complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual
P
knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the
PO6
consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.
Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional
P
engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate
PO7
the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.
P Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and
PO8 responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice.
P Individual and team work: Function effectively as an individual, and as a
PO9 member or leader in diverse teams, and in multidisciplinary settings.
Communication: Communicate effectively on complex engineering activities with
the engineering community and with society at large, such as, being able to
PO10
comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective
presentations, and give and receive clear instructions.
Project management and finance: Demonstrate knowledge and Understanding
P of the engineering and management principles and apply these to one‘s own
PO11 work, as a member and leader in a team, to manage projects and in
multidisciplinary environments.
Life-long learning: Recognize the need for, and have the preparation and ability
P
to engage in independent and life-long learning in the broadest context of
POO12
technological change.

HUMAN VALUES LAB MANUAL
I & II Semester
PS 1: Introduce yourself in detail. What are the goals in your life? How do
you set your goals in your life? How do you differentiate between right and
wrong? What have been your salient achievements and shortcomings in
your life? Observe and analyze them. { K2 Level; CO1}
PS 3:
1. Observe that each of us has the faculty of „Natural Acceptance‟, based
on which one can verify what is right or not right for him. (As such we are
not properly trained to listen to our „Natural Acceptance‟ and may a time
it is also clouded by our strong per-conditioning and sensory attractions).

PS 4:
1. a. Observe that any physical facility you use, follows the given sequence
with time:
PS 5:
1. Write a narration in the form of a story, poem, skit or essay to clarify a
salient Human Value to the children.
2. Recollect and narrate an incident in your life where you were able to
exhibit wilful adherence to values in a difficult situation. { K3 Level; CO2}
PS 6: List down some common units (things) of Nature which you come
across in your daily life and classify them in the four orders of Nature.
6

HUMAN VALUES LAB MANUAL
Analysis and explain the aspect of mutual fulfilment of each unit with
other orders. { K2 Level; CO3 }
PS 8:
1. Suggest ways in which you can use your knowledge of
Science/Technology/Management etc. for moving towards a universal
human order.
2. Propose a broad outline for humanistic Constitution at the level of
Nation. { K3 Level; CO3 }
