Last time we learn that nouns is a name of a


person, a place, an animal and a thing. We
also found out that this noun can be a
common noun and a proper n in noun.
Now in our first game called “Noun Hunt”
we need to look for persons, place, animals
and things you see in the picture.

Good there is only one tree in the picture


So, the words are boy, benches, flowers and
tree.

Class, what do you observe with the word There are “s” and “es” at the end of the
benches and flowers. words.

Very good, there is “s” and “es”.


We added “s” to flower making it flowers,
and we added “es” to bench to make it
benches.

Rules to forming plural form to regular


nouns:

Rule 1: Add an -s to singular nouns.

Examples:
Cat - Cats
House - Houses
Flower - Flowers

Rule 2: Add -s to nouns ending in y preceded


by a vowel.

Examples:
Monkey - Monkeys
Day - Days
Boy - Boys

Rule 3: Add -es to nouns ending in ch, sh, s,


and x.

Examples:
Coach - Coaches
Bench - Benches
Tax - Taxes
Boss - Bosses
