Profile
I am a highly motivated business management student, who works well under pressure and has the
ability to work well within a team. I use hard work and dedication to complete tasks to the highest
possible standard at all times and new challenges are seen as a way to further develop skills.

Work Experience
Harvey Nichols- Sales Consultant April 2010 – January 2012
Team Work- Working with others to achieve high sales for the business. Knowing each
other’s strengths in order to work effectively and efficiently when serving customers.
Working under Pressure- Experience working in a fast paced retail environment, having to
deal with demanding customers, keep queuing time to a minimum whilst making sure a high
level of customer service was maintained at all times.
Additional Skills
Commercial Awareness- I was chosen to participate in a trip to India to meet with students
from a partner University and had the opportunity to experience how the retiling differs
from in the UK. This helped to broaden my knowledge of the retail industry on a more
international level.
Willingness to learn new skills and gain knowledge- I have made use of University resources
by participating in extra modules such as Networking and Negotiation and Creative Problem
Solving to further develop skills.
Budgeting –Treasurer for University Dance club, where large amounts of money need to be
spent appropriately and spent with the interest of the club in mind.
Organisational skills- I planned and booked a successful holiday for ten people which
included, organising meetings, scheduling payments, and ensuring effective communication
between everyone.
Communication skills- I have good written and verbal communication shown through
written reports and presentations produced at University.
Time management- I have the skill to balance my University studies as well as finding the
time to hold down a part time job. I also make time to socialise, go the gym and am a
member of the University dance team.
Interests/ Hobbies
I have a strong passion for retail and enjoy learning more about this industry. I do this through
gaining part time work in the retail sector and by regularly reading articles from Retail Week. I also
enjoy fashion and like to keep up to date with latest trends, by reading fashion magazines and
websites such as drapers.com. I enjoy dance and am part of the University dance team where I have
enjoyed meeting many new people and thrive on the challenge of trying out new dance styles which
I have never done before.
