• 1885- INC was set up.
• November 1st 1858- Queen Victoria's proclamation
• 1886- Vande matram by Bankim Chandra Chatterji sung for
the 1st time.
• 1885-1947- National movement
• 1876- Indian association in culcutta(surendranath banerjee)

assasinated saunders.
• 8 april 1929- Bhagat singh and battukeshwar dutt bomb in
the central legislstive assembly.
• 23rd march 1931- Bhagat singh, rajguru and sukhdev hanged.
• March 12, 1930- dandi march of gandhji.
• 1930-31- 2 round table conferences.
• 1930-34- civil disobedience movement.
• 1937- provincial elections
• 1939-45- second world war.

PARTION OF BENGAL-

Swadeshi movement was spread from Bengal to maharashtra.

Morley minto reforms-


purpose- to pacify moderates. Destroy hindu-muslim unity.

Home rule league-


purpose- to attain self-government

Lucknow pact(1906)-
moderates and radicals signed a joint pact at lucknow.

Government of india act(1919)-


number of elected members was increased in the legislative
assembly and the council of states.

Rowlatt act-
allowed government to arrest anyone without a warant and
imprison people without trial.

Jallianwala bagh massacre-


On- 13 april, 1919 (baisakhi)
At- punjab near golden temple in amritsar
reason- protest againt the arrest of leaders- dr. Satya pal and
saiffudin kitchew.

Chauri chaura -
people burnt 22 policemen at chauri chaura(u.p)
Jawaharlal nehru and subhash chandra bose opposed it.

Motilal nehru and Chitranjan das formed swaraj party.

CIVIL DIOBEDIENCE MOVEMENT-


By gandhi ji on march 12, 1930 from sabarmati ashram to dandi
also known as dandi march with 78 supporters.
Also called salt satyagrah to protest salt from england in liverpool.
Abdul Gaffar khan is known as frontier gandhi.

Kakori conspirancy case- case of loot by the hindustani


socialist republican association formed in kanpur.

Jugantar party- Aurobindo ghose.


Indian house- Madan lal Dingra
Gadar party- Lala har dayal
Berlin party- Virendra nath chattopadhayaya

PEASANTS AND WORKER MOVEMENT-


It was done by sardar vallabhbhai patel for peasants of Bardoli in
Gujarat.

Subhash chandra bose gave the slogan of – you give me blood , i'll
give you freedom.
Indian national rmy was organised by mohan singh.

INDEPENDENCE- P.m. Of britain, Attlee of labour party sent a


cabinet mission in march 1946 for freedom of india.
Lord Mountbatten, vicroy of india separated the land of india
and pakistan.
