6. Cleaning the device

Installation
Install the drives

1. Insert the M.2 with an angle of approx. 30 degrees into the M.2 slot (2).
Flip the M.2 rubber fixation back while inserting.

2. Push down the M.2 and let the M.2 rubber fixation flip back into position.

3. Install the 2.5" or 3.5" SATA HDD/SSD to the SATA slot (1).

Installation and using clone mode

1. Plug in the Power adapter to the power adapter jack (4).
Hint: Please do not insert the USB cable while using the clone mode.

2. Plug in the power adapter to a household power socket.

Important Information before you start the cloning process:

• The target drive (Target) must be of the same capacity or bigger
than the source drive (Source).
• If the target drive is smaller than the source drive, it is not possib-
le to start the clone mode by pressing the button.
In this case the 25% + 50% LED and the 75% + 100% LED start to
flash alternately.

• Cloning creates an identical copy of your drive.

• Since the cloning process copies every single byte of the source drive,
the process may take several hours depending on the drive capacity and
technology.
• After the cloning process is complete, the computer may not be
able to identify both drives because they are assigned the same
drive letter. To separate the drives, at least one of the SSDs must
be given a different drive letter or marked as "online". (Under
Windows® in "disk manager").
• If only one drive is plugged into Source, there will be no action when you
press the clone button (7).
• If the target drive (Target) is bigger than the source drive (Source), you may
create a new volume with the remaining space on the target drive after
cloning.

DO NOT connect the computer when the device is in clone mode.

1. Switch on the device with the ON/OFF switch (5).

2. Select your preferred clone direction with the clone direction switch (6).

3. As soon as the status LEDs TARGET and SOURCE light up continuously, press
and hold the „clone“ button (7) for ca. 5 sec. to activate the clone mode.

4. As soon as all LEDs light up permanently, press the „clone“ button again to
start the cloning process.

5. Once the 25% LED and the LEDs (2) of the source SSD and target SSD start
flashing, the cloning process has started.

ATTENTION: DO NOT stop or turn off the device until the clone process is
finished completely!
• If all status LEDs (3) for the cloning process flash at the same time, an error
occurred as the target drive is smaller or one of the drives is damaged.
Please turn off the device and change to a suitable or functional drive.
• When the cloning process is successfully completed, all LEDs (3) light up
continuously.
• Switch off the clone station with the ON/OFF switch (5).

HINT: To uninstall the drives please make sure that the device is turned off.

Installation and use of the docking mode

1. Plug the USB cable into the Type-C® port of IB-2914MSCL-C31 (8).
Plug the Power adapter into the power adapter jack (4).

2. Plug the power adapter into a household power socket.

3. Plug the Type-C® or Type-A plug of the USB combo cable into your host
computer.

4. Turn ON the IB-2914MSCL-C31 with the ON/OFF switch (5).

Installation
Installieren Sie die Laufwerke

1. Stecken Sie die M.2 in einem Winkel von ca. 30 Grad in den M.2
Steckplatz (2).
Bewegen Sie die M.2 Gummifixierung beim Einsetzen zur Seite.

2. Drücken Sie die M.2 nach unten und bewegen Sie die M.2 Gummifixierung
wieder zurück.

3. Installieren Sie die 2,5" oder 3,5" SATA HDD/SSD im SATA Steckplatz (1).

Installation und Anwendung des Klonmodus

1. Stecken Sie den Netzteilstecker in den Netzteilanschluss (4).
Hinweis: Stecken Sie das USB Kabel nicht ein, während Sie den Klonmo-
dus verwenden.

2. Stecken Sie den Stecker des Netzteils in eine haushaltsübliche Steckdose.

Wichtige Informationen, bevor Sie den Klonvorgang starten:

• Das Ziellaufwerk (Target) muss die gleiche oder eine größere
Kapazität haben als das Quelllaufwerk (Source).
• Ist das Ziellaufwerk kleiner als das Quelllaufwerk, ist es nicht
möglich, den Klonmodus zu starten.
• In diesem Fall beginnen die 25% + 50% LED und die 75% + 100%
LED abwechselnd zu leuchten.

• Das Klonen erstellt eine identische Kopie Ihres Laufwerks.

Da beim Klonvorgang jedes einzelne Byte des Quelllaufwerks kopiert wird,
kann der Vorgang je nach Laufwerkskapazität und -technologie mehrere
Stunden dauern.
• Nach Abschluss des Klonvorgangs kann der Computer die beiden
Laufwerke möglicherweise nicht identifizieren, da sie demselben
Laufwerksbuchstaben zugewiesen sind. Um die Laufwerke zu
trennen, muss mindestens eines der SSDs einen anderen Lauf-
werksbuchstaben erhalten oder als "online" markiert werden.
(Unter Windows® in der "Datenträgerverwaltung").
• Wenn nur ein Laufwerk in Source angeschlossen ist, erfolgt keine Aktion,
wenn Sie die Taste Clone (7) drücken.
• Wenn das Ziellaufwerk (Target) größer ist als das Quelllaufwerk (Source),
können Sie nach dem Klonen ein neues Volume mit dem verbleibenden Platz
auf dem Ziellaufwerk erstellen.

• Schließen Sie den Computer NICHT an, während sich das Gerät
im Klonmodus befindet.

1. Schalten Sie das Gerät mit dem ON/OFF-Schalter (5) ein.

2. Wählen Sie Ihre bevorzugte Klonrichtung mit dem Klonrichtungsschalter (6).

3. Sobald die Status LEDs TARGET und SOURCE dauerhaft leuchten, drücken
und halten Sie die Taste "Clone" (7) für ca. 5 Sek. gedrückt, um den Klon-
modus zu aktivieren.

4. Sobald alle LEDs dauerhaft leuchten, drücken Sie erneut die "clone"-Taste,
um den Klonvorgang zu starten.

5. Wenn die 25%-LED und die LEDs (2) der Quell- und Ziel-SSD zu blinken
beginnen, hat der Klonvorgang begonnen.

ACHTUNG: Halten Sie das Gerät NICHT an oder schalten Sie es nicht
aus, bis der Klonvorgang vollständig abgeschlossen ist!
• Wenn alle Status LEDs (3) für den Klonvorgang gleichzeitig blinken, ist ein
Fehler aufgetreten. Eines der Laufwerke ist möglicherweise beschädigt.
Bitte schalten Sie das Gerät aus und wechseln Sie auf ein geeignetes oder
funktionierendes Laufwerk.
• Wenn der Klonvorgang erfolgreich abgeschlossen ist, leuchten alle LEDs
(3) dauerhaft.
• Schalten Sie die Klonstation mit dem ON/OFF Schalter (5) aus.

Hinweis: Zum Deinstallieren der Laufwerke stellen Sie bitte sicher, dass das Gerät
ausgeschaltet ist.

Installation und Verwendung des Docking Modus

1. Stecken Sie das USB Kabel in den Type-C® Port der IB-2914MSCL-C31 (8).
Stecken Sie den Netzadapter in die Netzadapterbuchse (4).

2. Stecken Sie den Netzadapter in eine Haushaltssteckdose.

3. Stecken Sie den Type-C® oder Type-A Stecker des USB Kombi-Kabels in
Ihren Hostcomputer.

4. Schalten Sie die IB-2914MSCL-C31 mit dem ON/OFF Schalter (5) ein.
