THESIS STATEMENT
According to Aristotle, in his work “Politic”, he states “man is a social animal; an individual
who is unsocial naturally and not accidentally is either beneath our notice or more human.
Society is something that precedes the individual”. This backdrop presents the social nature
that is inherent in the human person which doesn’t dwell in inclusivity but in conjunction
with the other. Seeming since man doesn’t live in isolation there must be a missing-link that
connects all men into achieving it goals and objectives in the society he lives in.
Michael Eneyo’s philosophy of unity is a philosophical ideology that seeks to promote the
ideology of unity between the different individual substance or reality under the umbrella of a
single substance or reality “Love” which is the missing-link between opposite.
Drawing inspiration from this philosophy, this academic project argues that although man is a
socio-political animal as postulated by Aristotle, and despite its diverse ideologies and
believes there should be a space of relevance for each political ideologies, persons, or values
that seeks the development and advancement of the society and the common good.
Therefore, this paper suggests the necessity of the use of Michael Eneyo’s idea of unity which
projects the connection and relevance of reality in it differences.
