EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
In the bustling environment of Mindanao State University - General Santos City (MSU-
GSC), transportation hurdles often disrupt the daily routines of students, faculty, and
motorcycle drivers. The inefficiency of public transport, bad weather conditions.
Exacerbates the challenges and leads to frustration and delays. To tackle these issues
head-on, we propose an innovative motorcycle transportation application design
exclusively for university communities.
Our project aims to develop an innovative online application tailored to the unique needs
of university students. By leveraging cutting-edge technology, we intend to create a user-
friendly platform that facilitates seamless commuting experiences and enhances overall
transportation accessibility. Through this initiative, we aspire to empower students to
navigate their daily routines with greater efficiency and convenience, thereby optimizing
their academic success and enriching their university experience.
The university community faces challenges due to the inefficiency of the public transport
system and the adverse effects of bad weather on motorcycle availability. This results in
frustration, fatigue, and trust issues among commuters.
This proposal aims to address the transportation challenges university communities face,
particularly focusing on MSU-Gensan motorcycle drivers, faculty, and students. With the
lack of an efficient public transport system and the inconvenience caused by bad weather
conditions, there is a pressing need for a reliable and convenient solution.
PROPOSED SOLUTION
There would be convenience for users; they can quickly request a ride from their current
location to their desired destination with just a few taps on their smartphones. Also, with
the safety features, prioritizing the safety of the rider and its driver, with built-in features
such as real-time tracking and driver ratings.
While traditional transportation methods such as walking or waiting for motorcycles are
available, they lack the convenience and efficiency offered by our ride-sharing
application. An implementation plan to be used:
- Testing, such as conducting a thorough testing to ensure the app's functionality and
user experience meet expectations.
- Launch the app and roll out the application to the MSU-Gensan community, starting
with a soft launch followed by a broader marketing campaign.
This proposal will use a marketing strategy that will help us boost and increase the
interests of possible users.
• Online Channels - Utilize social media platforms and digital advertising to promote
the application among university students and faculty.
• Offline Channels - Encourage word-of-mouth marketing by incentivizing current
users to refer the application to their peers.
CONCLUSION
This proposal outlines our plan to develop and launch a motorcycle ride transportation
and location sharing application tailored for university communities. We are confident that
this solution will address the transportation needs of the MSU-Gensan community and
enhance the overall commuting experience for all stakeholders involved.
