EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

In the bustling environment of Mindanao State University - General Santos City (MSU-
GSC), transportation hurdles often disrupt the daily routines of students, faculty, and
motorcycle drivers. The inefficiency of public transport, bad weather conditions.
Exacerbates the challenges and leads to frustration and delays. To tackle these issues
head-on, we propose an innovative motorcycle transportation application design
exclusively for university communities.

This groundbreaking application will revolutionize commuting experiences within the

MSU-GSC campus by providing a seamless and efficient transportation solution. Key
features include Location Sharing and enabling users to easily connect with motorcycle
drivers for convenient pick-up and drop-off, designed with user convenience and safety
in mind. The app will offer a user-friendly interface for quick ride requests and real-time
tracking features to ensure safe journeys.

By leveraging cutting-edge technology and addressing the unique needs of university

commuters, our proposed solution aims to enhance transportation accessibility and
optimize the daily routines of MSU-GSC's vibrant community. Join us in our quest to
create a more connected and efficient transportation system that empowers students,
faculty, and motorcycle drivers alike, shaping a brighter future for the university
community as a whole.
INTRODUCTION

In today's fast-paced world, transportation poses a significant challenge, particularly for

Mindanao State University -GSC students whose daily schedules are often non-linear
and unpredictable. The inconvenience of distant terminals and irregular timetables
frequently results in delays, disrupting students' study routines and causing frustration
among commuters. Recognizing the pressing need for a solution, our proposed project
seeks to address transportation accessibility concerns and mitigate delays experienced
by students and commuters.

Our project aims to develop an innovative online application tailored to the unique needs
of university students. By leveraging cutting-edge technology, we intend to create a user-
friendly platform that facilitates seamless commuting experiences and enhances overall
transportation accessibility. Through this initiative, we aspire to empower students to
navigate their daily routines with greater efficiency and convenience, thereby optimizing
their academic success and enriching their university experience.

Join us in our endeavor to revolutionize transportation accessibility for university students

and alleviate the challenges associated with commuting. Together, we can create a more
connected and efficient transportation system that benefits students, commuters, and the
university community as a whole.
PROBLEM STATEMENT

The university community faces challenges due to the inefficiency of the public transport
system and the adverse effects of bad weather on motorcycle availability. This results in
frustration, fatigue, and trust issues among commuters.

This proposal aims to address the transportation challenges university communities face,
particularly focusing on MSU-Gensan motorcycle drivers, faculty, and students. With the
lack of an efficient public transport system and the inconvenience caused by bad weather
conditions, there is a pressing need for a reliable and convenient solution.

PROPOSED SOLUTION

With a proposed solution to develop an efficient motorcycle transportation application,

with its essential feature of Location Sharing, the app will allow users to share their
location with motorcycle drivers for easy pickup and drop-off. To be created and tailored
specifically for university communities. This application will provide a safe, convenient,
and efficient transportation option for students, faculty, and motorcycle drivers within the
MSU-Gensan campus.

There would be convenience for users; they can quickly request a ride from their current
location to their desired destination with just a few taps on their smartphones. Also, with
the safety features, prioritizing the safety of the rider and its driver, with built-in features
such as real-time tracking and driver ratings.

While traditional transportation methods such as walking or waiting for motorcycles are
available, they lack the convenience and efficiency offered by our ride-sharing
application. An implementation plan to be used:

- Development, as we collaborate with experienced developers to build and launch the

application.

- Testing, such as conducting a thorough testing to ensure the app's functionality and
user experience meet expectations.

- Launch the app and roll out the application to the MSU-Gensan community, starting
with a soft launch followed by a broader marketing campaign.
This proposal will use a marketing strategy that will help us boost and increase the
interests of possible users.

• Online Channels - Utilize social media platforms and digital advertising to promote
the application among university students and faculty.
• Offline Channels - Encourage word-of-mouth marketing by incentivizing current
users to refer the application to their peers.

CONCLUSION

This efficient project of motorcycle ride-sharing application offers a practical solution to

the transportation challenges faced by the MSU-Gensan community. With its user-
friendly interface, safety features, and convenience, we believe it will significantly improve
the commuting experience for students, faculty, and motorcycle drivers within the
university campus.

This proposal outlines our plan to develop and launch a motorcycle ride transportation
and location sharing application tailored for university communities. We are confident that
this solution will address the transportation needs of the MSU-Gensan community and
enhance the overall commuting experience for all stakeholders involved.
