Administrator's Guides, Customization Guides, Programmer's Guides, Configuration Guides and Help Guides delivered with a
particular software product.
Other Documentation
Other Documentation shall mean, whether in electronic or printed form and delivered with software or on Intergraph Smart Support,
SharePoint, or box.net, any documentation related to work processes, workflows, and best practices that is provided by Intergraph
as guidance for using a software product.
Terms of Use
a. Use of a software product and Documentation is subject to the End User License Agreement ("EULA") delivered with the
software product unless the Licensee has a valid signed license for this software product with Intergraph Corporation. If the
Licensee has a valid signed license for this software product with Intergraph Corporation, the valid signed license shall take
precedence and govern the use of this software product and Documentation. Subject to the terms contained within the
applicable license agreement, Intergraph Corporation gives Licensee permission to print a reasonable number of copies of the
Documentation as defined in the applicable license agreement and delivered with the software product for Licensee's internal,
non-commercial use. The Documentation may not be printed for resale or redistribution.
b. For use of Documentation or Other Documentation where end user does not receive a EULA or does not have a valid license
agreement with Intergraph, Intergraph grants the Licensee a non-exclusive license to use the Documentation or Other

Bulkload Files
Bulkload files are used to add reference data to the catalog. The reference data includes
codelist values, rule progIDs, symbol file locations, and default values for rule and symbol
parameters. The relationships between different types of reference data are also established.
Bulkload files are delivered in the [Product
Folder]\MaterialsHandling\CatalogData\Bulkload\DataFiles folder.
Each bulkload file is delivered with default values that can be customized. For more information
about bulkloading, see the Smart 3D Reference Data Guide.

Type the end standard code for the mechanical end. Valid codes are listed in the
AllCodeLists.xls workbook on the End Standard sheet in the Codelist Number column.
Groove Depth
Type the groove depth for the mechanical end.
Groove Width
Type the groove width for the mechanical end.
Groove Setback
Type the groove setback for the mechanical end.

Material Sheet
The Material sheet in the AllCommon.xls workbook defines materials and material grades for
structural members. You must define materials and material grades before you can place
members or define member types.
When you bulk load this sheet in Delete and Replace mode, you must also bulk load
the Permissible Duct Thickness rule.
Material Type
Type the material type. For example, type Steel- Carbon or Concrete. The combination of
the Material Type and Material Grade columns must be unique.
Material Grade
Type the material grade. For example, type A36 or Eh42. The combination of the Material
Type and Material Grade columns must be unique.
Density
Type the mass or weight density of the material. For example, type 7800 kg/m 3. Any positive
real value is valid. Zero is also valid.
Max Tension
Type the maximum allowable tensile stress for the material. Any positive real value is valid.
Yield Stress
Type the yield stress for the material. Any positive real value is valid.
Elastic Modulus
Specify Young's modulus (the modulus of elasticity) for the material. Any real value greater
than zero is valid.
Poisson Ratio
Specify Poisson's Ratio for the material. Any real value greater than or equal to zero and
less than 0.5 is valid.
Shear Modulus
Type the shear modulus of elasticity for the material. Any real value greater than zero is
valid.
Therm Exp Coeff
Type the coefficient of thermal expansion for the material. Any positive real value is valid.
Zero is also valid.
Max Compression
Type the maximum allowable compressive stress for the material. Any positive real value is
valid.
Max Shear
Type the maximum allowable shear stress for the material. Any positive real value is valid.
Ultimate Stress
Type the ultimate stress for the material. Any positive real value is valid.
Damping Coeff
Type the damping coefficient for the material. The damping coefficient is used in dynamic
analysis. Any positive real value is valid.
Specific Heat
Type the specific heat for the material.
Thermal Cond
Type the thermal conductivity for the material.
Emissivity
Type the emissivity for the material.

Width
Type the width, along with units, of the cross section.
Depth
Type the depth, along with units, of the cross section.
Corner Radius
Type the corner radius value, if applicable. Units are not necessary.
OCS_Dimension Base Outer
Type the Boolean value (TRUE/FALSE) for the dimension base. OCS stands for Outfitting
Cross Section. You can override the definition (entered in the OCSD column) for each cross
section size, if necessary.
Area
Type the area of the cross section.
Perimeter
Type the perimeter of the cross section.

UOM Sheet
The UOM sheet in the AllCommon.xls workbook lists the units and unit types for the custom
user attributes that you can define for objects in the software. The Custom Interfaces sheet in
other reference data workbooks uses the unit and unit type definitions. For more information,
see Custom Interfaces Sheets in the Smart 3D Reference Data Guide.
The units and unit types are actually defined in the core component of the software, and the
UOM sheet is just a preview list of the units and types. For more information about units and unit
types, see Appendix: Units of Measure in the Smart 3D Reference Data Guide.
Do not modify the UOM sheet in the AllCommon.xls workbook.
Unit Types - Specifies the unit types, such as distance, angle, and so on.
Units - Specifies the available units for each type, such as inches, millimeters, and so on.

Definition Section
Defines attributes that apply to the entire cross-section type.
PartClassType
Class type "CrossSectionClass" as defined on the PartClassTypes sheet of the [Product
Folder]\ShipCatalogData\Bulkload\DataFiles\AllShipCodeLists.xls file. Do not modify.
SymbolDefinition
2D symbol file associated with the cross-section type. 2D symbol files are delivered to the
[Reference Data Folder]\Symbols folder.
CrossSectionType
Cross-section type defined internally by the software. CrossSectionType is not displayed in
the Catalog task. The name of the worksheet appears in the Catalog task browser in the
software.
ReferenceStandard
Standards organization or shape library for the cross-section type, as defined on the
ReferenceStandard worksheet.
SymbolIcon
Specifies a graphic file for the part class. You can view this graphic in the Catalog task or on
the Properties dialog box in the Molded Forms task in the software.
ISBuiltUp
The value 1 defines the cross-section type as a built-up section. This attribute is optional.
Head Section
Defines properties for individual profile cross-section sizes.
SectionName
Name of the profile cross-section size as it appears in the Catalog task.
GroupID
Reports Workbook
The Reports.xls workbook defines standard drawing reports and labels used by Materials
Handling. The workbook is delivered to the [Product
Folder]\MaterialsHandling\CatalogData\BulkLoad\AMD folder, and is bulkloaded into the catalog.
Other reports are also bulkloaded separately into the catalog. For more information,
see "Reports Reference Data" in the Drawings and Reports Reference Data Guide.
Report Sheet
Name (Column B)
Specifies the report or label template name. This name appears in the XML for the template.
This name must match the name specified on the R-Hierarchy sheet.
Type (Column C)
Specifies the type of template. The types include label templates, query templates, query
parameters templates, report templates, and formatting templates.
Description (Column D)
Provides some descriptive text about the template.
Filename (Column E)
Shows the path to the template.
The Name column (Column B) includes the hierarchy folders shown in the Catalog task. You
add new report or label templates based on where you want them to be stored within the
hierarchy. To help make the hierarchy easier to read, the Report section of the sheet has a
yellow background, while the Label Template section has a green background.
Belt Workbook
The StructWallGeneral.xls workbook defines standard conveyor belt profiles catalog items
used by Materials Handling. The workbook is delivered to the [Product
Folder]\MaterialsHandling\CatalogData\BulkLoad\AMD folder, and is bulkloaded into the catalog.
Before defining belts in this workbook, you must define the layers that you plan to use to
compose your belts in the StructWallLayer.xls workbook. For more information, see Belt Layer
Workbook (on page 27).
Belt profiles are based on walls in the Structure task. Wall catalog items are also
bulkloaded separately into the catalog. For more information, see StructWallGeneral Workbook
in the Structure Reference Data Guide.

Codelist Workbook
The AllCodeLists.xls workbook defines select lists with acceptable values for attributes used
by Materials Handling. For example, you can only use defined equipment types. The workbook
is delivered to the [Product Folder]\MaterialsHandling\CatalogData\Bulkload\DataFiles folder,
and is bulkloaded into the catalog.
The AllCodeLists.xls workbook that is delivered at this location contains information that
only pertains to the Materials Handling task. The AllCodeLists.xls workbook that contains
all Smart 3D content is delivered to the [Product Folder]\CatalogData\BulkLoad\DataFiles
folder.
Other codelists are also bulkloaded separately into the catalog. For more information, see
Select Lists (Codelists) in the Smart 3D Reference Data Guide.
The EquipmentComponentTypes sheet defines the hierarchical select list of available
components, such as hydraulic couplers, impellers and nozzles, for use when designing
equipment.
The EquipmentTypes sheet defines the hierarchical select list of available equipment, such as
pulleys, idlers, and mixers.
Equipment Workbooks
The Materials Handling Equipment.xls workbook defines standard equipment parts,
properties, and attributes used by Materials Handling. Similarly, the Materials Handling
Equipment Component.xls workbook defines standard equipment components, properties,
and attributes. The workbooks are delivered to the [Product
Folder]\MaterialsHandling\CatalogData\Bulkload\DataFiles folder, and are bulkloaded into the
catalog.
Other equipment items are also bulkloaded separately into the catalog. For more
information, see Equipment Parts in the Equipment and Furnishings Reference Data Guide.
Each equipment type is on a separate sheet. Almost all equipment parts are represented by
symbols. You can find which symbol is used for a particular delivered part by looking in the
SymbolDefinition column. Symbols are named after the text that comes before the period. For
more information, see Equipment Symbols in the Smart 3D Symbols Reference Data Guide.
Common Properties
Below is a listing of the common properties that you will see on each sheet.
UserClassName
Sets the user name for the part class. You can use this field to give more meaningful names
to the user classes, if necessary. This name appears in the Catalog browser.
OccClassName
Sets the occurrence name for the part class. This name appears on the filter dialog boxes in
the software.
SymbolIcon
Specifies a graphic file for the part class. You can view this graphic in the Catalog task
interface or on a Properties dialog box in the software.
Name
Type the part number for the equipment part. The keyword Name must be respected in the
spreadsheet, but it is actually equivalent to the PartNumber. The software uses the part
number at placement when the part name is automatically generated. An example is
BA106E 42309-1.
All part numbers must be unique across the entire catalog.
PartDescription
Type a description for the equipment part. An example is Centrifugal Pump, 10" suction,
8" discharge.
MirrorBehaviorOption
Type the mirror behavior code for the horizontal vessel. Valid codes are listed in the
AllCodeLists.xls workbook on the Mirror Behavior Option sheet in the Codelist Number
column.
ProcessEqTypes(i)
Type the coded process equipment type for the part. Valid codes are listed in the
AllCodeLists.xls workbook on the Equipment Types sheet in the Codelist Number
column. For example, 365 is the equipment type code for a vertical centrifugal pump.
SymbolDefinition
Type a definition of the Visual Basic symbol you are creating for the equipment part. An
example is SP3DVesselwithSkirtAsm.CVesselWSSym.
Definition
Type a definition of the Visual Basic class you are creating for the Custom Assembly
Definition for an equipment part. An example is SP3DVesselWSkirt.Asm.CVesselWSDef.
DryWeight
Type the empty weight of the part. Be sure to specify the units when typing this value.
WaterWeight
Type the water weight of the equipment part. Be sure to specify the units when typing this
value.
For equipment, the Weight and CG property Wet Weight is the sum of
DryWeight and WaterWeight. The dry weight and water weight values are catalog
properties typed on the part sheet for the equipment.
DryCOGX
Type the center-of-gravity location for the equipment part along the x-axis when the part is
empty.
DryCOGY
Type the center-of-gravity location for the equipment part along the y-axis when the part is
empty.
DryCOGZ
Type the center-of-gravity location for the equipment part along the z-axis when the part is
empty.
WaterCOGX
Type the center-of-gravity location for the equipment part along the x-axis when the part is
filled with water.
WaterCOGY
Type the center-of-gravity location for the equipment part along the y-axis when the part is
filled with water.
WaterCOGZ
Type the center-of-gravity location for the equipment part along the z-axis when the part is
filled with water.
For the remaining properties, (i) indicates an integer corresponding to a nozzle
number assigned to an equipment part. This method avoids a lengthy listing for all
possibilities, such as Nozzle(1):EndPrep, Nozzle(2):EndPrep, and Nozzle(3):EndPrep for
three possible nozzles. When you type the nozzle properties into the workbook, substitute a
number for (i) to assign the nozzle to the appropriate property.
Nozzle(i):NPD
Type the nominal piping diameter for the particular nozzle connection. Unless you specify
otherwise, the software defines nozzle 1 as the primary nozzle.
Nozzle(i):NPDUnitType
Specify the units for the nominal piping diameter of the nozzle. For example, type mm for
millimeters or in for inches.
Nozzle(i):EndPrep
Type the coded end preparation for the nozzle connection. Valid end preparation codes are
listed in the AllCodeLists.xls workbook on the End Preparation sheet in the Codelist
Number column.
Nozzle(i):EndStandard
Type the coded end standard for the nozzle connection. Valid end preparation codes are
listed in the AllCodeLists.xls workbook on the End Standard sheet in the Codelist
Number column.
Nozzle(i):ScheduleThickness
Type the schedule thickness (wall thickness) short description code for the nozzle. Valid
codes and short descriptions are listed in the AllCodeLists.xls workbook on the
ScheduleThickness sheet in the Codelist Number and Schedule Thickness Short
Description columns. If you enter the wall thickness directly, include the units. For example,
type 7mm.
Nozzle(i):PressureRating
Type the coded pressure rating for the nozzle connection. Valid codes are listed in the
AllCodeLists.xls workbook on the Pressure Rating sheet in the Codelist Number column.
Nozzle(i):FlowDirection
Type the coded flow direction for the nozzle. Specifying the correct flow direction code for each
part port is very important, because the software automatically orients the part to the flow
direction of the pipe or port to which the part is connected.
Common Properties
Below is a listing of the common properties that you will see on each sheet.
Name
Enter the part number for the chute shape part. The keyword Name must be respected in
the spreadsheet, but it is actually equivalent to the PartNumber. The software uses the part
number at placement when the part name is automatically generated. An example is
TransitionSectionC-001.
All part numbers must be unique across the entire catalog.
PartDescription
Type a description for the chute shape. An example is Chute Transition SectionC-001.
MirrorBehaviorOption
Type the mirror behavior code for the chute shape part. Valid codes are listed in the
AllCodeLists.xls workbook on the Mirror Behavior Option sheet in the Codelist Number
column.
ProcessEqTypes(i)
Type the coded process equipment type for the part. Valid codes are listed in the
AllCodeLists.xls workbook on the Equipment Types sheet in the Codelist Number
column. For example, 365 is the equipment type code for a vertical centrifugal pump.

Part-Specific Properties
Below is a listing of the properties that are part-specific, meaning that they do not appear on
each sheet in the Chute Shapes workbook.
DryWeight
Enter the empty weight of the chute shape part. Be sure to specify the units when entering
this value.
WaterWeight
Enter the water weight of the chute shape part. Be sure to specify the units when entering
this value.
For equipment, the Weight and CG property Wet Weight is the sum of
DryWeight and WaterWeight. The dry weight and water weight values are catalog
properties entered on the part sheet for the equipment.
DryCOGX
Type the center-of-gravity location for the chute shape part along the x-axis when the part is
empty.
DryCOGY
Type the center-of-gravity location for the chute shape part along the y-axis when the part is
empty.
DryCOGZ
Type the center-of-gravity location for the chute shape part along the z-axis when the part is
empty.
WaterCOGX
Type the center-of-gravity location for the chute shape part along the x-axis when the part is
filled with water.
WaterCOGY
Type the center-of-gravity location for the chute shape part along the y-axis when the part is
filled with water.
WaterCOGZ
Type the center-of-gravity location for the chute shape part along the z-axis when the part is

Name
Enter the part number for the wear plate part. The keyword Name must be respected in the
spreadsheet, but it is actually equivalent to the PartNumber. The software uses the part
number at placement when the part name is automatically generated. An example is 000-M-
0019/10 Type 1.
All part numbers must be unique across the entire catalog.
PartDescription
Type a description for the wear plate part. An example is Wear Billet to BHP Drawing:
000-M-0019/10 Type 1.
MirrorBehaviorOption
Type the mirror behavior code for the wear plate part. Valid codes are listed in the
AllCodeLists.xls workbook on the Mirror Behavior Option sheet in the Codelist Number
column.
ReplacementPartNumber
Specify the replacement part number for the wear plate part.
SymbolDefinition
Type a definition of the Visual Basic symbol you are creating for the wear plate part. An
example is MHTransSectionA.CTransSectASym.
