• Company took name Dansk Træemballage A/S in 1989 on merger of Haastrup
Træemballage (Company founded in 1915) and Ribe Emballage (Company
founded in 1581).

Compliances for Wood Products in Europe:
• IPPC – ISPM 15 International Plant Protection Convention- governs phytosanitary
measures – govern phytosanitary measures heat treatment and methyl bromide
fumigation:
• Heat Treat – 56 c for 30 min
• Fumigation – 48 g /m3 for 210c and for 24 hrs exposure
• EMAS –Eco Management and Audit Scheme is a management tool for companies
and other organisation to evaluate report and improve their environment
performance
• CARB – California Air Resource board regulations will require manufacturer of
composite wood products to reduce formaldehyde emission of their products,
the formaldehyde contains should be lower than 0.09 Parts per million.
• PEEFC - Programme for endorsement of forest certification dedicated to
promoting sustainable forest management through third party certification
• REACH – Registration Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals: Its aim is to
protect people’s health and environment through risk assessment of chemical
products in European community.

Pallet Parts for Reconditioning of used pallets
• According to U.S. Forest Service figures, Roughly 43 out of every 100 pallets
purchased are recovered pallets. 68.5 percent of recovered pallets are repaired
for reuse, with another 11.9 percent reusable without repair. Another 16.2
percent are dismantled to be used as replacement lumber or in the construction
of new pallets using recycled lumber, or a combination of new and recycled
lumber.
• Broken pallets can often be salvaged and used again for a fraction of the cost of
buying new pallets. This involves replacement of missing and damaged Boards
missing nails and insure all parts of pallet are flush with pallet wood Thus is
important exercise that overall reduces the cost of pallet
• Since DTE A/s undertakes the processing of largest number of such pallets in
Denmark. Skillful use of advance wood processing machinery like trim and chop
saw are used to recover lumber, this avoids the need for new pallet repair parts,
therefore reducing the cost of repair. DTE has also developed expertise in processing
new pallet components for recondition activity

Why DTE A/s
• 70 % of the entire wood processed at DTE saw mill at Ribe is used for in
house production of EPAL CPC pallets and other customize pallets
required by our customer in Europe, needless to say that, the complete
wood used at our factory is as per quality norms set by European union.
• We are suppliers to all pallet renting Majors like Loscam, CHEP, LEAP
etc where prolonged working life of the pallets is a requirement.
• Our Head Sales Mr Jakob Olesen, is a machine building enthusiast.
Reconditioning of old machine like automobiles, enhancing its
performance are his hobbies . His enthusiasm regarding machine
enhancement and optimum working give rise to customer surplus when
they use our products for an extended period of time.
