    “BLESSED IS THE MAN..

    ”
    Psalms 1:1-3 Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that
    sinners take or sit in the company of mockers,2 but whose delight is in the law of the LORD, and who
    meditates on his law day and night.3 That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which
    yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers.

    Good morning everyone!Today we gather to reflect on a beautiful passage from the Book of Psalms. These
    verses provide us with a blueprint for a blessed and fruitful life. When we say blueprint, this is the intended
    guiding principle,just like engrs, they use blueprint as their foundation and guide to build a long-lasting
    buildings, its designs and others,and the same is true with teachers, they have their lesson plans as their
    blueprint in teaching and molding the minds of the students. The way you do your homework every night
    could provide a blueprint for your little sister’s study habits. A business plan is a blueprint for a profitable
    business. Religions and philosophies provide the blueprint for many people’s lives. A blueprint helps you
    figure out what to do. So today, we will unfold the blueprint on how to have a blessed and and a fruitful
    life.

    Blessed is the man who…


    1. Walks in the Law of God-v1
    We see the path that we should avoid. The wicked, the sinners and the mockers represent the
    negative influences and temptations in our lives.
    E.g. Israelites- they were given leaders to obey yet they still chose the wicked ways, they disobeyed
    God and His laws and we know what happened to them in the wilderness, they were buried alive and died.
    The Israelites who walks with God, they reached the promised land.

    2. Delights himself in the Law of God-v2


    The Bible tells us that our delight should be in the law of God. This means that we should find joy in
    God’s Word, meditating on it day and night. The person who delights in God's law so much that he
    meditates on it day and night is delivered from the ways of the wicked and sinners and mockers, and is
    made fruitful and durable and prosperous.
    When we continuously delights and meditates ourselves in the The Word of God, it inspires us to
    pray, and informs us what to prayer. This means that the Word commands us to pray, and makes promises
    to us of what God will do if we pray. It also tells us what to pray and the content of our prayer.
    when you delight in God's Law, you will be doing the kinds of things that God approves of, and he is
    likely to bless what he approves. And when you are delighting in the Word of God, you are trusting it, and
    we know God works for those who trust him and wait for him.

    3. Plants himself in the Law of God-v3


    This verse gives us a beautiful picture of a tree planted by streams of water (Law of God). this tree
    is not affected by the changing seasons or the scorching heat. It remains green and fruitful because it is
    planed and rooted by the water. When we are rooted in God’s Word, we can withstand the trials and
    challenged of life. We can bear fruit in every season, and our spiritual lives will not wither.

    Conc and App


    The engrs, teachers will likely to succeed because they have blueprints on the first place to follow.
    So how will we apply these principles to have a blessed life? It starts with making a conscious
    decision everyday to walk in God’s ways, to delight in His Word and be like the tree planted by the water
    (in His Words). this may mean making some tough decisions, letting go of negative influences, spending
    more time in prayer and Bible study, and serving others in love.
    Dear brothers and sisters, the path to have a blessed life is not easy, but it will be worth it. Lets
    strive to be like the tree planted by the water, deeply rooted in God’s Word, bearing fruit in every season
    and prospering in all that we do. May God guide us and strengthen us on this journey. Amen.
