● Learners will measure the weight and volume of each two different objects and click the picture of those objects and stick it in Column I of the table. Also,
they will write the name of the picture below it.
● Learners will then write the weight or volume of that object with the unit in Column II of the table.
● Learners will convert the weight or volume of Column II in other units and write in Column III of the table with proper steps.

2) They will find out about its features and how it works.
3) They will also identify the time difference between the sundial and their watches and explain the reason for the difference.

Guidelines to learners:
● Learners need to conduct the survey on any five things from the surroundings that are machine-made or handmade.
● The information is to be written on A4 ruled sheets.
● The cover page (1 st page) must include the school name, the title of the social science project, the learner’s name, grade, and section.
● On the 2nd page, the aim, an introduction to the topic of how the industry helps us meet our needs and the main features of cottage industry, small-scale
industry, and large-scale industry. The learners will write about their experiences while doing the survey.
● On the 3 rd page, learners can paste newspaper clippings, pictures, or printouts and write below it the following information: whether it was made by a
machine or by hand, as well as the industry it is most likely to have been produced.
● Gathered information should be analysed, and the findings should be written in their own words.
● The page numbers should be mentioned in the bottom-right corner of each page.
● Creativity and presentation will be accounted for.
● The project should consist of at least 3 pages.
● The survey report has to be submitted by Wednesday,1st November 2023

· Learners must use illustrations to support their views/writing.
· Learners must use pencil colours to make their report attractive and colourful. Sketch pens are strictly prohibited.
· Learners must submit their work as per the given deadlines. Marks will be deducted for delayed submission.
