2. Manish’s family consumes 1200 g of rice on Monday, 900 g on Tuesday, and 1560 g
on Wednesday. Find the total amount of rice consumed in these 3 days. Convert the
total mass into kilograms and grams.
Ans:
Quantity of rice consumed on Monday = 1200 g
Quantity of rice consumed on Tuesday = 900 g
Quantity of rice consumed on Wednesday = 1560 g
Total quantity consumed in 3 days = 3660 g
Therefore, the family consumes a total of 3660 grams of rice in 3 days.
1 kg = 1000 g

bottles, each having a capacity of 400 mL. How many such bottles are required to fill
the complete petrol – ethanol mixture?
Ans:
Total quantity of mixture = 9L + 3L = 12 L
1 L = 1000 mL
Therefore, 12 L = 12000 mL
Capacity of each bottle = 400 mL
Therefore, number of bottles required = 12000 ÷ 400
= 30
Therefore, 30 bottles are required to fill the mixture.
