Statement of the Problem

In the modern educational landscape, students and educators face the

challenge of effectively sharing and accessing educational resources,
particularly notes. Traditional methods of note-sharing, like physical handouts
or basic digital files, are often inefficient, environmentally unsustainable, and
inaccessible to remote learners. This leads to a lack of collaborative learning
opportunities, difficulties in accessing up-to-date study materials, and a gap in
resources for students who miss classes or have different learning paces.

The Online Notes Sharing System aims to address these challenges by

providing a centralized, digital platform where users can upload, share, and
access notes and educational materials. This system seeks to enhance the
educational experience by enabling efficient information dissemination,
fostering collaboration among students and educators, and ensuring that
learning resources are readily available to a diverse student body, including
those who are remote or have varying schedules. The goal is to create an
inclusive, flexible, and eco-friendly solution that adapts to the evolving needs
of the educational community.

Scope and Limitations

Scope:

User Accessibility: The system will be accessible to students, educators, and

possibly administrative staff, providing different levels of access and
functionality based on user roles.

1
Note Upload and Management: Users can upload notes in various formats
(e.g., PDF, Word, images), categorize them by subject or course, and manage
them through editing or deletion options.

Search Functionality: A robust search feature allowing users to find notes

based on keywords, subjects, courses, or other relevant criteria.

Security and Privacy: Implementing security measures to protect user data

and intellectual property, with privacy settings for note sharing.

Limitations:

Content Quality Control: Ensuring the accuracy and quality of the notes
uploaded by users can be challenging.

Technological Barriers: Users with limited access to the internet or

technology may find it difficult to utilize the system effectively.

Intellectual Property Concerns: Managing the intellectual property rights

related to the shared notes, especially when they include copyrighted material.

Data Security Risks: Despite security measures, the system may be

vulnerable to data breaches or unauthorized access.

Addressing these limitations would be an ongoing process, requiring

regular updates and feedback from users to ensure that the system remains
effective and relevant to the needs of its user base.
