TPV Report

A Third-Party Verification was conducted on 17-01-2024 regarding the electrical components and
equipment used in the Project “Enhancement & expansion of building infrastructure of NHMP
training college Sheikhupura. (ESTABLISHMENT OF MESS BLOCK) Sub Head: - Electrification
(internal) “The objective of the verification was to ensure compliance with relevant standards
and specifications outlined in the project requirements. The observations made during the
verification are as follows:

1. Approved Electrical Drawings including single line diagram of the building electrical works
has not been furnished to this office.
2. Approved Manufacture list must be furnished to this office.
3. Certificate from the authorized dealer of all the equipment including Switch boards, Gang
plates, fan dimmers, Ceiling Fans, Exhaust fans, TL’D lights, Panel Lights, Flood lights,
Miniature Circuit Breakers (MCB), Molded Case circuit Breakers (MCCB), L.T & Distribution
Board etc.
4. Electrical tests for copper purity and wire resistance, as per BS 6360, 6746, 6346, 60228
standards, have not been performed for the cables used on the project.
5. An insulation resistance test has not been performed after the installation of all the cables.
6. A 50mmSq cable was used as mains from the distribution line instead of the specified
150mmsq cable as described in the Bill of Quantities (BOQ).
7. 16mmsq cables were used from the main L.T panel to the distribution boards instead of
the prescribed 35mmsq cable as outlined in the BOQ.
8. Actual lengths of cables required can only be verified once drawings have been furnished
to this office.
9. Quantity of TL’D 36W lights installed are less than that mentioned in the BOQ. Approved
Drawings and list of approved manufacture is required for further verification.
10. Quantities and make of 56" ceiling fans and their dimmers vary from what is mentioned
in the Bill of Quantities (BOQ). Approved Drawings and list of approved manufacture is
required for further verification.
11. L.T panel board and distribution boards used on the project are locally manufactured.
Approved Drawings and list of approved manufacture is required for further verification.
12. The L.T. panel boards and distribution boards do not possess Ampere meters and relevant
Current Transformers (C.Ts.) as specified in the Bill of Quantities (BOQ). Approved
Drawings and list of approved manufacture is required for further verification.
13. The provision and fixing of the Earthing Set, as outlined in the BOQ, have not been
performed.
14. Electric Water cooler 60-Gallons, Jumbo water filter with 3 stages and water dispensers
(2.25 liters), as outlined in the BOQ has not been installed.
