Paint

How to Start Paint


Start => Type "Paint" => Select Paint=> Enter
Application Name = mspaint
Default Filename = Untitled
Extension Name = png (jpg, bmp, gif, tif)

Toolbox
Pencil : Draw scribble lines
: Shift+Draw = Straight Line
(Horizontal, Vertical, Diognal)
: Ctrl+(+) = Increase Thickness
: Ctrl+(-) = Decrease Thickness
: Color Pencil

Eraser : Erase any specific area


: Ctrl+(+) = Increase Thickness
: Ctrl+(-) = Decrease Thickness

Fill Color : Fill with Color any enclosed area

Pick Color : Let the user to pick any color from drawing
First Select the Fill Color => Pick Color
=> Select any color from the drawing => Fill

Text : To Write Text on Drawing


: Select Text => Choose Area => Type the Text
: Change Color
: Change Font Face, Font Size, Bold, Italic,
Underline, Strike etc...

Zoom : Here we can zoom in/ zoom out the images


: Select tool Zoom => Click for Zoom In
: Right Click for Zoom Out
: Another Method is = Use the Status Bar Zoom In/Out

Brush : Lets the User to draw using various types of brush


: Brush, Calligraphy1, Calligraphy2, AirBrush,
Oil Brush, Cryon, Marker, Natural Pencil, Water Color

Shapes : User can directly use predefined shapes


: Select shape => Draw on Working area
: Line, Curve, Oval, Rectangle, Rounded Rectangle,
Polygon, Tringle, Right Angle Tringle, Dimond,
Pentagon, Hexagon, Right/Left/Up/Down Arrow,
4/5/6 Point Star, Heart, Lightning

- Line+Shift Draw = Straight Line


- Curve = Draw line => Setup Curve position two times
- Circle (Tall, Wide, Round = Shift+Draw)
- Polygon = Draw Line..... Click Next position....Next Position....

Crop : It will keep selected and erase other area

Resize : Select the area => Using any point (among 6 point)
Drag to Resize the Picture

Rotate : You can rotate the image 90/180 Degree, Horizontal


or Vertical etc... (Selected Area)
Select : Rectangular = Select an rectangular area
Freefrom = Select as you desired
Select All = Select the Whole Image
Invert Select = Select the Opposite Area
Delete = Delete the Selected Area
Transperent = Erase the Background Color from
selection

Cut : Erase Select Area & Keep in Buffer Memory


Copy : Selected Area Keep in Buffer Memory (without Erase)
Paste : Insert the Buffer Memory Data

View
Zoom In : Show image large View (does not change size)
Zoom Out : Image Small View
Zoom 100% : Actual Image Size View

Ruler : Show/ Hide the Vertical & Horizontal Scale


Gridlines : Show/Hide the Guide Lines
Status Bar : Show/ Hide the Status Bar
Full Screen : Show Image on Full Screen

File
New [Ctrl+N] : Create a New Drawing File
Open [Ctrl+O] : Open an Existing Paint Drawing
Save [Ctrl+S] : Save the Current Drawing
Save As : Save the Same file with Another Name/Location
Print [Ctrl+P] : Print the Drawing on Printer
From Scanner : Get a Drawing from Scanner Device
Send Email : Send the Current Drawing File as Email Attachment
Set as Desktop : Set Drawing File on Desktop Background
( Tile, Fill, Center)
Properties [Ctrl+E] : Shows the Drawing Dimension, Color, Resolution etc.
About : Displays the Manufacturer Details
Exit : Exit the MsPaint Software
