SMU Cox is a close-knit community that values teamwork.

Our students are put in study

groups within their cohort to build leadership and collaboration skills. What are five things
you would like your study group to know about you? (500 word or less).
Everyone is woven into the intricate tapestry of life with a unique set of skills that define
their abilities, strengths, and potential contributions to the world. Reflecting on my own
journey, my unique skill set is a mosaic of diverse talents and attributes that shape my
identity and influence my interactions with the world.
I'm primarily a problem solver and good listener. I always concentrate on what another
person is trying to say and engage with their ideas in a thoughtful and comprehensive
manner. This helps me solve another person's problem, so as an HR professional, I am
always a troubleshooter.
My greatest strength is my ability to perform admirably under pressure. I can come up with
original ideas, go against the grain for solutions, and approach issues from a different angle
because of my creative thinking abilities. Mostly, I discovered new ways to stay calm when
working under pressure. I always prepare my to do list which helps me to prioritize my tasks
and complete important work, which boosts my productivity.
I'm always organized, which allows me to work efficiently. Despite the stressful situation, I
remain calm. I am self-motivated and not afraid to face new challenges. I have a strong inner
drive to succeed.
I keep myself disciplined, organized, and focused, which helps me stay on track. I take
responsibility for my tasks, whether the outcome is positive or negative.
My ability to analyse data allows me to break down difficult issues, spot trends, and develop
well-reasoned solutions. The cornerstone of my professional competence is my ability to
critically analyse information, regardless of whether I'm making strategic decisions or
tackling data-driven challenges.
Through the ups and downs of life's dynamic journey, my adaptability serves as a compass. I
can adapt to different situations and not only survive them, but also thrive in them, whether
I'm taking on new challenges personally or dealing with changes at work.
One of the skills I value most is the capacity to empathize with others and understand them
on an emotional level. Empathy injects a compassionate viewpoint into both personal and
professional interactions, promotes meaningful relationships, and fosters teamwork.
The goal of leadership is to positively inspire and influence others, not just to exercise power.
Each team I am a part of benefits from my leadership abilities, which are defined by a
cooperative approach, sound decision-making, and a dedication to common objectives.
My distinct skill set is essentially a dynamic fusion of personal traits and professional
competencies that define my abilities and influence how I interact with the outside world.
My goal is to make a significant contribution to my own development as well as the overall
advancement of the communities and organizations I work with, and I hope to do this
through developing and constantly improving these skills. I'm excited about the chance to
grow professionally and leave a lasting impression on life as I set out on this journey.
What are your short-term post-MBA career goals (including the target industry, sector,
and/or organization) and your long-term ambitions? (100 words or less)

Short Term Goal

I was a Human Resources Professional in the Health Care industry looking to advance into a
business analytics strategy role with a well-known industry such as E-Commerce, Logistics,
Supply Chain, and so on.

Long Term Ambitions

In the long run, I hope to advance my career by taking on leadership roles in well-known
organizations and utilizing my business analytics skills. I am driven by a desire to make a
significant contribution to my field by applying my analytics skills and expertise to solve
complex business problems. I also hope to continue learning and growing in my field, both
personally and professionally, and to be a lifelong learner who is always looking for new
ways to advance.
Some examples include information about nontraditional undergraduate experience or
gaps in employment history. Other uses could include professional awards, achievements
or highlights of notable community service not listed elsewhere. (250 words or less)

Enumerating my accomplishments in my academic and professional lives brings me great

satisfaction. I represented women throughout my MBA program. During my time as an
academic, I achieved the highest ranking in my internship program. Although I was not a
skilled dancer, I was able to compete in a dance competition during my academic career
thanks to the assistance of a talented choreographer. I had acquired domain knowledge in a
variety of industries, including retail, automotive, entertainment, and healthcare. Like all
these sectors, I had worked in the human resources department, which is where my
master's degree is primarily focused. I have had very few but notable successes in my
professional career. My primary responsibility as an HR professional was to establish positive
relationships with both management and employees. To retain my employees, I also need to
engage them. I planned several employee-engagement events during my tenure, including
tournaments for cricket, carrom, and chess, to mention a few. It was my responsibility to
start various festival celebrations that everyone enjoyed.
