Introduction
The components in this section help the technician with
data for each component:
• The reference designator (for example, ALM1) that
is on the electrical diagram and parts pages.
• The description of the component.
• The location of the component on the lift truck.
• The function of the component.
• The data of the component.
• The applicable adjustments.
• The electrical diagrams that the component is on.
The number (in parentheses) is the grid coordinate
(for example, DIA-2052-151 (B-3)).
• The parts page that the component is on. The num-
ber (in parentheses) is the component index num-
ber (for example, 04.1-2052-050 (9)).

DR EWS (Optional)
Early Warning System Driver
Location: On the brake pedal mounting bracket.
Purpose: Sends the EWS signal from the EPS to the
lift truck to communicate when an EPS shutdown is go-
ing to occur.
Data: Controlled by the EPS. The EPS sends a battery
voltage (+) input to the DR EWS when in operation.
The input switches the DR EWS to send an input to
Access 1. When the EPS stops sending the battery
voltage (+) signal, the DR EWS switches and stops
sending an input to Access 1 so the lift truck knows the
EPS will be shutting down.
