The Seismic Provisions for Structural Steel Buildings, hereinafter

Intermediate moment frames (IMF) are structural systems
designed to undergo some inelastic deformation during a design-
level earthquake event. This section outlines the requirements
that IMFs must meet regarding their ability to resist seismic forces
through controlled yielding while maintaining overall stability.
The required interstory drift angle shall be a minimum of 0.02
radian.
