THE PROBLEM AND IT'S SETTINGS

INTRODUCTION

These days, many applications are spread in social media, in any internet
platforms. Some of their those applications help students to be more creative in their
projects and presentations etc. And one of those application would be Canva some of
us maybe not familiar with this application, but when you are interested in utilizing this
application this will help us to make your life easy. In addition to consolidating their
knowledge, Grade 12 students are also developing their critical thinking and inventive
problem-solving skills.
Canva, a user-friendly graphic design platform, has become well-known in this
area for its potential to enable students to produce aesthetically appealing content and
effectively communicate their ideas. One of the researchers stated that Canva
motivated the students to be eager to learn more effectively, resulting in the
improvement of their writing skills (Hadi et al., 2021). A similar result was also found in
the research about students' motivation in writing class using Canva (Utami &
Djamdjuri, 2021). Furthermore, students' motivation in writing class increased after
using Canva in the teaching and learning process (Utami & Djamdjuri, 2021).

BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

This study will address the influence of utilizing Canva for editing to enhance the creative experience
of grade 12 students at Army's Angel Integrated School Inc. By identifying the possible advantages
and disadvantages of using Canva in creating infographics, brochures, and many other school
outputs. According to the study of Pedroso et.al 2023, because of the continuous development and
advancement of technology many students and teachers found Canva as an easy way to do their
schoolworks, power point presentation etc. But on the other hand because of the too much
advancements of using Canva the students already limited their selves to explore their own
creativeness and create their brochure, infographics on their own because they always choose the
easy way to do their work so this study will fucoses on how the Canva affected the growth of
creativeness of each Grade 12 students’.

Canva is a graphic design platform that allows users to create a wide range of visual content,
including presentations, posters, and social media graphics. By utilizing Canva for editing purposes,
students have the opportunity to enhance their creativity and artistic skills by exploring different
design elements, layouts, and templates offered by the application. This study seeks to investigate
how the integration of Canva into the educational setting can positively impact the creative
experience of Grade 12 students at Army's Angel's Integrated School. Through this research, the
study aims to provide insights into the potential benefits and limitations of using Canva for editing
purposes in the educational context. It also seeks to contribute to the existing body of knowledge
regarding the use of digital tools in enhancing students' creativity and artistic abilities.

OBJECTIVES

1. Assess students’ motivation in writing classes.

2. To identify how students construct and present their knowledge.

3. Identify the effectiveness of student success and enhance learning.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM


This research study aims to determine the Influence of Utilizing Canva for Editing on
Enhancing the Creative Experience of Grade 12 Students of Army’s Angels Integrated
School Inc.

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

Students. The result of this study will provide the students with more knowledge
about the influence of Utilizing Canva for Editing on Elevating the Creative Experience
of the Grade 12 Senior High School Students. It will give the students guidelines
regarding this study and at the end of this study, students will discover the importance
of using Canva. This study will show how helpful Canva is to the students in making
PowerPoint Presentations, and it will show the creativeness of the students.

Parents. Through this study it will boost parents’ engagement and their trust in
using Canva and Canva designs because this study will show how Canva is a great
help to the students in doing their homework, presentations, etc.

Teachers. The Teachers can also gain significance in this study, especially that
teachers also use Canva designs in making their Powepoint Presentations.

Future researchers. The outcome of the study is beneficial to the future


researchers. This study may be one of the basis that a new theory in learning will use.

SCOPE AND DELIMITATIONS

This study will concentrate on the influence of using Canva specifically for
editing purposes on enhancing the creative experience of Grade 12 students in AAIS.
The researcher will utilize an Survey questionnaire to gather the needed data and to
investigate the students who are using Canva application.

HYPOTHESIS
Null Hypothesis

Utilization of Canva for editing does not have a significant influence on elevating the
creative experience of Grade 12 students.

Alternative Hypothesis

Utilization of Canva has a significant impact on creating valuable presentations and


advancement for Grade 12 students.

INPUT s PROCESS OUTPUT


The figure above shows the research paradigm of the study. The input consists
of the problem, related literature, and studies. The process is how the result will be
interpreted. It starts with the permission of researchers to conduct the study in the class
section, followed by distribution questionnaires for respondents and performing a one
by-one survey. Next is the review and annotation of the transcript and finally, the
interpretation and the analysis of segments. The output is the result of the study about
the Influence of Utilizing Canva on Enhancing the Creative Experience of selected
Grade 12 Senior High School students of AAIS.

THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK

To investigate the impact of Utilizing Canva for Editing on Elevating the Creative
Experience of Students. Utilizing digital apps to like Canva see the elevation or
improvement of the student’s creativity According to Faiza citated by (Mary Unani,
2021) that the Canva application has an attractive design, with features that are easy to
access with smartphones or laptops so that it can increase the creativity of teachers
and students in designing learning media, besides that this application greatly saves
time in designing learning media. Canva allows students to create engaging creative
writing projects. Therefore, the Canva application is very appropriate during the current
pandemic as Canva can facilitate online student projects from the features provided. It
is hoped that by Utilizing Canva, students would learn to write more simply through
distance learning by Rukma Maya Adi Candra, Noor Eka Chandra & Fahmi Hidayat
(2022). Dissemination and presentation Within the individual space, communication is
naturally not about dialogue, but rather relates to dissemination and presentation of the
student’s own work. Dissemination is traditionally something that we do when we have
finalized a product. However, because digital products are easy to share and grant
others access to, we can share in the process of making the product. By dissemination
in the individual space, we wish to highlight how digital technologies can help students
to show their work (in progress) to others to get response from teachers or fellow
students (Holgaard et al., 2021). using Canva makes students be creative, helps them
create a creative papers or Presentations and having Canva is easy to access for
creativity.

DEFINITION OF TERMS

Canva – is a free graphic design platform that allows you to easily create invitations,
business cards, flyers, lesson plans, zoom backgrounds, and more using professionally
designed templates.
