covered intermediate- high school students, students of a pre-academic studies university department
and pre-service teachers, shows that post-instructed students kept to distinguish weight from the
gravitational force. To minimise these errors the experiment could be done more times and more time
spent on each test. We have today no rational explanation for the simplest of systems and
phenomena, for instance, how a magnet physically attracts another from a distance or by what
physical means the Earth prevents the Moon from leaving the Solar System. Evidence to support this
is that the air resistance will have a smaller surface area and as the helicopter drops friction between
the helicopter and the air molecules will convert kinetic energy into heat energy, if less wingspan is
available their will be less friction, therefore the helicopter will fall faster. For subjects such as
biology, chemistry, english language, and maths, the maximum mark count is 400. To find out how
the weight of a paper helicopter affects the terminal veloc. I knew it would make it easier for me
which is why I did it. I will use paper helicopters to carry out this experiment. A library of common
objects such as dialogue boxes and icons. Graph 2 shows that the speed that the paper helicopter
with a wing length of 13 cm fell slower than the paper helicopter with a wing length of 11 cm. If a
spinning object has more momentum when its mass is far from the center of rotation, then it must
require more energy to make such an object go the same speed as one with its mass in the center of
rotation. I think this is because when the wing is longer, its speed is effectively greater than if it was
short, as it is traveling in a wider arc. We can see in the graph above that this predicament was
proved to be correct. The reason for this may be due to the helicopter reaching its maximum speed
but since the air resistance taking longer to build up because of the speed being slower than the upper
wingspans. After doing this I shall investigate other ways of changing the timing of its landing. One
way of increasing an object’s rotational momentum is to put most of its mass as far from the center
of rotation as possible as this will maximize its speed and therefore give it more momentum. For
example it is widely noticed with massive objects like the planets. Gcse grade boundaries for ccea

wing length of 13 cm has appeared to fall at a slower speed than its previous wing length of 11 cm.
Another reason is to go as an act of penance to make up for sin; this reason isn't as common as it was
in the Middle Ages when priests would sometimes give pilgrimage as a penance. This suggests that
errors affected each of my results suggesting they were systematic. I think I should have given it
longer to cool down, this however would be hard as I had a limited time unless I did the
experiments on different days, which would have aroused many other problems. Immediately we see

period of 1500 to 1700 witches came to symbolize superstitious aspects of popular religion. To
improve accuracy, I will take each reading three times and take an average. I am going to keep the
wing width constant, and vary the height of the wing. Using the terminal velocity theory, I can
conclude that it would take longer for a 4cm wing spanned helicopter to fall 1 metre than for it to
fall 2 metres. I lay on my bed slowly sinking into the silence until a great bang woke the house. The
fairytale-like ending resembles not just any fairytale, but one in particular, Cinderella.
I think the largest source of error will be if the thermometer and the substance in the capillary tube
cool down at different times this would give strange readings for each time I did the experiment. As
the helicopter falls downward, two forces act on it: its weight and the resistive force. The pressure of
the helium in the balloon is 1.0 ? 105 Pa and its temperature is the. This means that the terminal
velocity was reached almost immediately. According to that definition, the weight of a body is the
gravitational force on the body. Looking at these horizontal forces from the point of view of the
above the diagram, they will be acting towards the body of the helicopter. This means that the
horizontal component is far greater, making it spin quicker. If the force pushing down on the
helicopter is greater than the upwards draft, there will be a net force in the downward direction,
therefore the helicopter will accelerate in that direction. The paper helicopter will take a shorter time
to reach its Terminal Velocity and will fall quicker than if the wing length is shortened. I believe that
this would give me the most accurate results and could be dealt with fairly. She seeks also to convey
the moods of her characters, using methods such as pathetic fallacy and symbolism, in order to
express their emotions indirectly. They show a correlation, for voltage, the higher the length the
higher the voltage, and for current, the higher the length the smaller the current. As one of the
variables that I will be measuring is the height from which the helicopter is dropped, I will set up a
tape measure, and drop the helicopter from intervals of 1 meter. Get this resource as part of a bundle

as the wingspan decreases, the amount of air molecules contained inside the cylinder of air would be
decreased proportionally to the wingspan. Trotsky seemed like the obvious successor, and
consequently he became inactive. Exploring Sage's theory further, he believes that motivation
concerns inner drives towards a goal as well as an external drive or pressure. As paper (especially
normal A4) is a very flexible substance, the wings bend up. I am going to find out what factors affect

peaked during the first half of the Seventeenth Century. When the helicopter starts to spin, it reduces
the air resistance in a vertical direction, as the wings are effectively moving in the direction of that
they are pointing. When something is spinning, we call this rotational momentum. This leads me to
my next variable I could choose to explore, which is the mass of the paper helicopter. Some pilgrims
may strengthen their relationship with God and gain an understanding of their blessings and failings.
I need to work out the volume for each measurement taken, as this is the point in my experiment
(being in Charles' law). When the wing is very high and thin, there is very little strength in the hinge
on the wing. Science 341 (2014) Bill Gaede Physics has evolved from an attempt by ancient
researchers to understand the workings of their immediate surroundings to a body of mathematical
descriptions and paradoxical physical interpretations.
My first prediction, that weight is directly proportional to terminal velocity squared is justified by
Newton’s Law of Drag that says that weight is proportional to terminal velocity squared x area (in
my experiment area was constant, so weight is proportional to V t 2 ). The voltage on the power pack
goes from 2-12 but I decided to set the power pack voltage to 2, because any higher and the wire
would have gotten hot therefore making. I would have liked to have been able to measure the
revolutions per minute of the helicopter, as I think this would have led to some interesting results.
All of this also proves that I carried out my experiment and investigation as a whole correctly and
got the results. I will use paper helicopters to carry out this experiment. Bundle 2019 AQA Physics

Better heat control so the heat is equally spread across the water, again a computer could achieve this

Investigate the Factors that Determine theTerminal Velocity of a 'Helicopte. Having set out the
timer, paperclips, and paper helicopter in front of me, I am to make sure that I have drawn out a
results table, which I will record the timings down in. (As shown in the results table.). In a metal
these bonding electrons are free to move through the entire solid. Any comments, ratings or
suggestions for improvements very much appreciated. This meant that the position of the paperclips
made no difference to the times, as the spinning acceleration of the helicopter made up such a small
part of the total flight time. For varying the mass of the helicopter I intend to attach paperclips to the
body of the helicopter. In this experiment I intend to attach a one end of a paper clip to the body
and the other to the wing (one on each wing). It is like many stories, even those written in the
present day, which is the author's fantasy. I think the largest source of error will be if the

she does have, she is sent away to a school where the cycle of cruelty continues. In solids one or two
of the outer electrons in each atom are used to form the bonds between atoms that hold the solid
together. This means that the relationship between the two is not linear. Points R, S and T in the
circuit are also labelled. I think the accuracy of the measurements will be a big error so I have chosen
to use error bars according to how well each measurement instrument reads what it does. Empty

let us know if it violates our terms and conditions. The planets remain in orbit because of
gravitational force of attraction. The resistive force is provided in the form of air resistance, almost
entirely by the wings. Some may choose for the A4 to be coloured but I will just leave it to be plain.

make sure that the surface of the floor or table we were using always stayed the same and that we
did not move, this was also to ensure the experiment was safe because the smoothness of the surface
will affect the friction that occurs. It would seem that the longer the wing is, the more it slows the
helicopter down, except when the hinge cannot support the wing. Some pilgrims may strengthen

someone who learns, listens and follows. So I have come to the decision of changing the wingspan,
as I think it will provide a more reliable set of results, and will be able to explain more clearly in
scientific reasoning for the increase in speed. For varying the mass of the helicopter I intend to attach

becomes equal to the accelerating force, until the helicopter cannot accelerate anymore. In fact I was
dropping it from my height with my arms being placed right above my head as high as I could

we always wore safety goggles and behaving in a sensible manner with the elastic bands. As well as
this, she uses symbolism when setting the scene in the red room, in order to portray Jane's feelings

fitted exactly onto my lines of best fit. For next time, I would have considered taking more trials
such as five instead of three to ensure that an even higher reliability in results would be gathered. I

Brilliant resource. I would also try to test all four materials, (Nichrome, Constantin, Copper and Tin)
because I did not get to test Tin so I do not know if I could have gotten better results with Tin than
Nichrome also if I had been able to test Tin it would have made it more of a fair test because I would
have made sure Nichrome was completely the best material to use in the experiment. We argue, in
essence, that the current version of the scientific method is divorced from authentic Science. If the
