Knowledge/Engage Teacher will present a short video clip to the class reflecting the importance of

After the video presentation, teacher will solicit ideas based on the video.

Teacher will now summarize the solicited ideas by the students and leads to the

assigned in and identify whether it is a strong work ethic based on the Likert scale.
3. The assigned reporter in each group will present to the class their output.
4. A 3-minute preparation will be given to each group.

3.3 Abstraction Discuss the following topic in relation to Work Ethics in the workplace.

CAPITALIST VIEW :
Work ethic : Not just a hard work but also a set of accompanying virtues.

Experimental studies shown that people with fair work ethic are able to tolerate
tedious jobs with equitable monetary rewards and benefits, they are highly critical,
have a tendency for workaholics and a negative relation with leisure activity
concepts.

They valued meritocracy and egalitarianism.


Meritocracy : a system in which the talented are chosen and moved ahead on
the basis of their achievements.
Egalitarianism : a belief in human equality with respect to social, political, and
economic affairs.

ANTI CAPITALIST VIEW:


Work ethic as a means of management control that delude workers about the actual
reality for accumulated advantage.

3.4 Application ETHICS ANYWHERE?

Instructions:
1. With the same groupings, each group will identify 1 Bad Work Ethics
observed in their assigned workplace.
2. Each group will present a short reenactment and its recommended course
of action.
3. A 3 minute preparation will be given.
4. The presentation would be in a duration of 2 minutes.

4. Assessment CRITIQUING OF GROUP PERFORMANCES

Instruction:
1. the six groups will be paired (Group 1&2), Group (3&4), and Group (5&6).
2. Each group will critique the performance of the other group and the other
way around.
3. In critiquing, each group shall identify the Best Practices observed in
handling workplace conflict.
4. The group’s answers will be written in a piece of paper indicating the group
number and its members.
5. A duration of 5 minutes will be given to the groups.
