Star of Humanity: Angelina Jolie

Angelina Jolie is an American actress, film marketer, humanitarian and she has been

named Hollywood's highest - paid actress multiple times and goodwill ambassador. And those

characteristics make her my role model. Jolie first witnessed the effects of a humanitarian crisis

while filming “ Lara Croft “ (2001) in war-torn Cambodia, an experience she later credited with

having brought her a greater understanding of the world. First, jolie was named a( UNHCR)

Goodwill Ambassador at( UNHCR) headquarters in Geneva in 2001. Secondly, Jolie founded

and continues to fund the National Center for Refugee and Immigrant Children, which provides

free legal aid to young asylum seekers in the United States. She created Kids in Need of Defense,

formed in partnership with Microsoft, which helps children who enter the U.S. immigration
